Hi, thanks for the video/info. I looked on your website for the taillight you used in this video, but only found the Sprint taillight holder. Is that what you used, along with a sprint light assembly? I can’t find anything smaller with that fender angle on bottom. I want to shorten my rear fender and do what you did here. Please let me know, thanks
Yes, that tail light holder on the website is the one. Unfortunately, the tail light that mounts to it is out of stock. There is an alternative tail light that needs a little modification, on treatland.tv
It shouldn’t be too loud. I would first check for a head leak. By the header where it meets the cylinder, be sure the exhaust is tight and flush. Also, the gasket there could be blown out. The bike would be significantly louder if its not sealed. If thats good, check the baffle section of the pipe. If it’s missing and the pipe is just a straight pipe, it will be loud. Or maybe the insides of the baffle are gone. Lastly check the airbox. No airbox will make the moped noticeably louder. Best of luck 🤞
We just got this same moped for the kid. It has the pedal conversion already on it but he does not like it and want to go back to kickstart. Is it an easy process
Finally looking at mopeds and I am aiming for a Tomos. It's nice to see the video's are still as good as ever. I'd love to see rack options for the Tomos which allows it to carry delivery cooler box bags for Uber Eats. When I think of commuting, I think of packability.
great look i did that looks great im new to this moped thing lol ni have a question i start it runs then it dies i need to adjust the throgt . n i got leds turn lights 3 out 4 the left light dont work! can you help thank you lm donnie from pittsburgh pa
Thanks for the praise! It’s hard to help via comments but have you added an LED style flasher? LED lights draw little power and a different flasher is needed for it to work right.
My guess is the throttle tube is rubbing on the new bars. Either at the very end of the bar (in which case move the throttle assembly a little bit to the right… so the grip isn’t rubbing on the end of the bar). Or, the handlebar is rubbing on the inside of the throttle tube. I’ve seen this on the painted handlebars. You’ll have to sand down or acid remove the paint where the throttle tube is. A little light oil in the throttle tube helps too.
I'm a bit late to the party, but could you tell me how you fastened the speedometer in the lamp? I have the same one, but no way to fasten the thing inside of it. The bracket that came with it doesn't do anything to keep it in place.
If the bracket is too short to bottom out against the inside of the headlight, I slip some rubber tubing around the “legs” of the bracket. Add whatever length you need to make contact.
@@MopedProblems thanks for your reply, I ended up making my own bracket out of some aluminum. It's not a perfect solution, so I'll see if the rubber tubing makes a difference. The video worked, by the way; my tomos turned out dope!
Any tips on setting up turn signals? I bought a tomos that was optimized for racing so only the headlight and tail light works. Would love some advice so it's a bit less illegal come summer.
A stock wiring harness is one way to go…. But the wiring is not hard, same hot wire that is used for the headlight… it just goes to the turn signal switch and from there to the left and right turn signals (and from there grounded)
And here i thought you were going to show me how to Cheech & Chong my moped up... Hey did you know plastic can be made from hemp? I don't know if you can even find any, but it would be cool to see what it would do in your vacuum mold.
Glad to see you back, Love the Fender bracket, I have been wanting to do the fender swap. I don't see the brackets on your site though are they sold out?
Ah Mason, no I have them! Can I can make an unlimited amounts if necessary. But, haven’t added it to the site yet. I should have pics up for later this week.
Kinda weird to see how different countries tomos looks like cuz that rack and seat just dont exist here and we dont call it an A35 and A55 fork we call it new type and old type because there are a lot of tomos models with new type and an a35(a5) block
Great video! I have recently begun to try and service my Tomos A35. And i need to get the left engine cover off, it seems that i have remove the tubes from the oil pump, since the tubes go through a small hole into the behind of the left engine cover. I can't put the engine cover back on now anymore, because the flywheel is not alligned, so i gotta have it off. Also i would like to clean it up in there. If u ever see this, would u consider making a vid about how to remove the oil pump correctly without deleting it? xD Or just a helpful article, i would like to try to go about it myself. I think my biggest challenge is the clamps that holds the tubes on the oil pump. I would like to service the oil pump as well. Hope hearing from you! Currently no vids about servicing the oil injection can be found and information is scarse. :(

Exellent, it reminds me of the last fender I hand-cut at my Jawa CZ in the previous century. Nice to hear from you again.
Have you ever done a thumb throttle conversion on a tomos just wondering where to start
Do you have any Insight on this question
It’s possible, probably not too comfortable

We have just the video for you, already made: th-cam.com/video/hxzOGPTSRZY/w-d-xo.html

Links for the parts used in the video? Would love to find that headlight for my 2001 Targa restoration project!
Great to see your face! Good job
Where can I buy the fender and rear light
Hey guys. I’ve got an old tomos targa lx, I love it but it is incredibly loud. Is there a way to silence this thing as much as possible?

TOMOS is the best choice. The rack you required will have to be made though. All the factory racks are simple and not designed for heavy loads.
In my county its very common to see it used by food delivery man. Post office usses it to to deliver post.
