If this were a Library I would be there every day for the ambience and books, beautiful shelves and lots of interesting bits and bobs amongst the books. It's visual ASMR
Kind of surprised you didn't have any Tanya Huff. Canadian science fiction and fantasy author who is quite good, IMO.
A kind of modern day fantasy author that's sadly passed away you might like is Tom Dietz. Crosses the Tuatha de Danan with Cherokee mythology in rural Georgia, USA.
So happy to find someone else with all the Dresden Files!
Thank you so much for the tour through your books!
Co-incidentally, the day after watching this video I went to a bookshop and "Legends & Lattes" was there, so based on your recommendation bought it. I've now finished it, and enjoyed it a lot! It was all that you promised!
I’m so glad you love it! It’s just so comforting to read in the fantasy genre. I love fantasy but sometimes my anxiety goes off reading them hahahaha
I'm not a huge reader, I have a very hard time finding a book that will hold my interest. Which makes it all the more strange when I say that I have read through the Wheel of Time three times. I don't know what it is about that behemoth of a series, but I absolutely love it.
Three times! Wow, I’m still working on my first hahahaha but only the final three to go!
@@PensandTea Hey that's an accomplishment in itself. Crossroad of Twilight is enough to make even the bravest quit the series haha.
That is a great library, love the focus on Fantasy, with some Sci-Fi mixed in. As a person who has read over 150 Star Wars books (pre-Disney), I understand the pull to stay within a certain genre, but I have been trying to branch out in the limited time I have available for reading. Have loved LOTR since 5th grade, so decided to get into some classic Sci-Fi to see if that holds a similar appeal. Started with Asimov's iRobot and it was very interesting, especially reading it after watching the movie. Happy reading to you!!
Great collection. Love the swords, map, and the fancy Tolkien books. Love Good Omens and would highly recommend the Sandman graphic novels :)
This is How You Lose The Time War was one of my favourite reads last year, although I did read 101 books so it's hard to pick 😂
Suggestions for read next:
Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh
Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne
Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch
Pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman
I concur on the Red Rising series, liked em less and less, didn't finish the third. Might have to check out Blood and Fire. Brandon Sanderson is my absolute favorite author of all time, his silly sense of humor is right up my alley, Tress of the Emerald Sea might be my all time favorite.
Great selection of books there. Nice to see Good Omens is there, love Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Just recently finished Monsterous Regiment by Pratchett and American Gods by Gaiman. Still a lot of books to go in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. Apparently he was putting out two books a year for a long time.
I saw Godkiller on your shelf - totally enjoyed it. Also the Travis Baldree. I just read Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher and loved it. I also recommend The Sword of Kaigen - my favorite the year I read it.
reading through robin hobb's books and oml she is one of my favorite authors ever her characterization is everything
wowww love your collection & love the passion you have for the books & their authors....... my favourite part was LOR section with the ring on that, i might borrow this idea from you ⭐
Impressive collection, I’ve added a few to my list to get. Yeah, ep. 91 is a lot.
You should check out the Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson.
Thank you, Kerry. This was interesting. I need to check the work of some of these authors. Terry Pratchet's stuff is wonderful, I agree.Ryan Cahill looks interesting, must check.
Ravenclaw forevahhhh!
Wow. Nice. Where is the D&D section?
All of my D&D stuff is at a friends house since that’s where we play each week (except for a little bit of dice lol)
How is your cat?
She still has a long way to go but MUCH better than she was. Slow and steady progress each day
@@PensandTeaGlad to hear!
