I bought the entire shades of magic series cause i thought i was gonna fall in love. But now i use that series as a reminder to not buy the whole series before reading the first

Hold on to original prints Sarah J Mass for a couple of more years. Wrap and box them if they are ever adapted into film /tv could be worth a good penny. I listened to A Day of of Fallen Night 1st since it was marketing as a prequel it was good Orange Tree is on my TBR

Question, what is the reasoning behind having multiple copies of the same series with the same covers? Like, do you lend out some of them to friends and family?
@@taccora i pretty rarely buy multiples of the exact same book/cover, most of the “duplicates” i have are actually different editions with bonus context etc. but i really try to limit that to my favs bc i’d usually rather spend money on something i haven’t already read😂

Genuine question: what is the point of annotating your fiction books? When did this trend start and why? Obviously I understand doing it in a textbook or a cookbook… why a fiction book?
It depends... some people annotate what they're feeling or their reactions while reading, some annotate to keep track of the story (places, world buildings, characters...) and some annotate to track quotes they want to remember when flipping through the book. It really depends on the person 😊 I hope it helped
this!! i typically only annotate my thoughts\feelings bc i read primarily for fun & escapism lol. i love highlighting lines that resonate with me. in the case of my ACOTAR set, my friend wrote in her commentary, and it’s so fun to see what she was feeling/thinking in those moments!
If you do not like Priory, I don't think you will like Day of Fallen Like. The writing is very similar. I did love them both. But, if they are not doing it for you, get rid...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who seemed to hate Priory of the Orange Tree. It was so boring to me and the pacing is all over the place.
