Eurovision reactions 2024: #3 Portugal 🇵🇹 - iolanda - Grito

At number 3 in my top 37 of Eurovision 2023's contest entries is Portugal, represented by iolanda with "Grito".
It's a hattrick for Portugal in my countdown - they've now been in my top 10 in my countdown for the past three years. Portugal got their very first (and only) win in 2017 and ever since then, they have continued to provide the contest with very artistic, very distinctive entries that focus more on their originality, artistry and presentation of Portuguese music than being focused on what might appeal to a Europe-wide TV audience. It doesn't always pay off (2019) but Portugal have three qualifications for the grand final in a row, and include a two top 10 jury results, and one overall top 10 result. Can iolanda do the same with her song "Grito"?

You need to read the lyrics to understand the song. The lyrics of the song are pure poetry. Iolanda struggles with her fears. They are her ghosts and the people who did her harm. She screams (scream) and manages to overcome her ghosts and the pain she feels. The ghosts disappear. She has become powerful and is reborn to life. That's why she continues to sing after the scream. Iolanda and the ghosts are dressed in white because they emit light. Light is the hope of overcoming pain. The color black is the storm of her soul.
