Thank you for your support! Yes, the tension screws are the easiest for the dealer to “fix”. I still wish I knew why that mechanism was designed that way in the first place.

I’m pretty sure it is. Not sure why though. It must be the mechanism they use so that the single lever controls the bucket and the throttle. Not sure if the new fly-by-wire fixes any of that though.
I have the 2022 FSH Sport and I had to adjust the throttle cable by the engines and that “fixed” the drop issue for a few outings. I went out last week and starboard throttle drops to about 500-700 rpm less when I let go. Very annoying
I still can’t believe Yamaha hasn’t fixed this issue yet. After a few dozen outings, mine is also not holding as well. Seems that it’s works better for some than others. I’m going have to revisit this in the future.
How about the disharmonious sound coming from the engines when they aren’t in sync. It drives me nuts. I even have Jetboat Pilots throttle sync. It helps, but it’s not a complete solution.

Everyone should be doing this fix. Many dealers will only hit the tension screws, and that is not the fix. Nice work!

I do not. The scupper on the 2010 models were moved and would be an entirely different procedure.
I just took my 2021 AR250 for her maiden voyage and noticed the port side throttle lever was sliding back 200-300 rpm. So I will have to check it out.
Into the next boating season now, I hope your problem was resolved! 👍🏻

Same issue on my 22 AR250. Will this fix apply to my boat ? The throttle drop is really annoying
I have heard that it does help on the newer boats. Apparently they haven’t changed the mechanism unless it’s the fly-by-wire version

I wouldn’t know what the issue is. Take a look at the accelerator position sensor, it might need adjustment.

So yes and no. It’s definitely better, but I feel over time it’s starting to drop again. This is going to need a revisit in the future!

@@boatingpropless it’s a bizarre problem and want to fix it. It makes steering a pain when one engine suddenly has more power than the other

2004 sx 230 1 engine will not go past 6000 rpm, not the throttle sensor tried that! HELP!
