Do they refuse to send both people because 1 is definitely traitor (in which case 1 innocent doesnt get sent)? Or do they try to narrow it down, and give the traitor even more chances to fail rounds or fake innocence?

I've failed a first mission once. Convinced the group it was the other person, even though they've said they can't trust me at these types of games because I'm a good liar. Lol
Lindsay is not a good fit for these sort of games. This isn't a stab at her, it's just plainly true as made clear in the video early on. No one trusts her because she makes dumb decisions on purpose that hurt her own interests for the sake of chaos. I feel like they still wouldn't send her even if it was revealed she was innocent at the start of each round because of this. As a result she just sits there and does nothing the entire game except for the one round Michael takes pity on her.
@@piplupcola Michael literally said he sent her on the one mission because no one else will... and then no one else does. It was outright a pity move. Also they didn't know she was the villain every round ahead of time. Some rounds they didn't suspect her at all and they still didn't send her. So not seeing her as the good guy had no effect whatsoever on how she was treated by the rest of the group. Therefore she just sat there the entire time. They even say in the video how they can never trust her no matter what in these types of games.

I appreciate Ryan's attempt to spice up the game by failing the first mission. When that happens, the one of the two who stays the most invested in discovering other bad people rather than just remaining adamant that the other is bad is usually perceived as the good one and it's really tough to do that when you haven't played the game much. But I've always liked that about Ryan, how he'll step outside his comfort zone to make a decision that might lead to better content
My friends and I play it where the accept/reject chips of the mission are anonymous (everyone puts in their black or white chip, they’re shuffled, and then we can see the spread of reject and accept). We felt like this way Merlin has more of a indirect influence on the good team and is less easily outted by the assassin, because in our experience Merlin could not help without giving away his knowledge.
I'm sure this variant works on a basic level... however as a group gets more experienced, a major part of the game is seeing a pattern of how people vote on suggested teams. There is just as much information in that as there is in team selection and results. By making this anonymous, you're actually removing a great deal of information, hence making Good weaker. Not trying to be offensive, but your issue with Merlin being outed is likely more a result of inexperienced Merlin players AND inexperienced Generic Blue players... And I agree with a previous poster, I would always include Percival+Morgana in the same game.

So I downloaded Raid Shadow Legends a few days ago and it's super repetitive and has like 6 currencies you can spend real money on. I get they are paid and told what to say but damn that was a lot of lies.
The moment they said things like, "Immersive," and, "X to collect," I mistrusted everything. Anything freemium that has centrally presented collection elements is bound to be bad.

I get it’s a sponsor and they give you a script and all that, but to the actual humans watching this video, the game is egregiously pay to win. I downloaded it a couple months ago and deleted it not log after. You can play about 25% of the campaign before the enemies way out power you, you can’t grind up because of the stamina system and the other 2 form of currency that are basically just special stamina, and new units are almost impossible to get unless you pay for them. Oh and like every 5 minutes a screen pops up telling you to buy shit. Basically it’s just another shitty money grab with some fancy graphics.

Michael Slenderman they get 2 cards, fail and a pass. Good guys must play pass, but bad guys can choose either one. If Trevor was a bad guy he would've played the fail card and won the game.

This ep kinda sucked because Lindsey was chosen three times in a roll to be a minion and considering how the others view her chaos it forced the other Minions to have to carry the side of EVIL! through the rounds.
because of Lindsay likes to play chaos, it would have been bad if she was a good guy as well. As than on any mission with Lindsay and a minion the minion could fail the mission and let it get blamed on chaos from Lindsay. These traitor games only really work, if when you are the good guy you only do good and tell the truth. Lindsay might have learned from that and just didn't get a chance to prove that, but in other similar games she really hurts the good side if she is on it by making her information untrustworthy and giving cover for the real traitors.
Even though any of them could have been "bad". Lindsey was never chosen because she is so random. Why risk it? I personally, (I'm not telling them who to put into these games/videos) would have rather seen someone like Jeremy, or even Fiona in this type of game. It's the game type not the game itself.

I actually think a scenario where the traitor can blame Lindsay is really good and interesting for the game, the traitors need an advantage and having someone the group doesnt trust can help the traitors and make the round more interesting. But because she was traitor every round that couldnt happen, just bad luck.
One of the best let's rolls yet! I loved the enthusiasm once they got the hang of it. I totally believed Geoff knew because of the reason he explained!

I love Secret Hitler, but to be honest I gotta say Avalon is more in-depth. Not the way they played it in the video though. There are some other parts of the game they left out like Morgana and Percival and the Lady of the Lake. When you add those in it makes the game so in-depth and complex in the best possible way.
This was honestly a worst case scenario for this game, shockingly the good team won 3 quests 3 times when half the bad team's strategy is just "lol random" the whole time. I think Ryan gave the "were definitely losing" look when he saw it was Lindsey again lol
First round, minions made a classic mistake of waiting too long to fail a quest. That tactic can work well on a game of 8-10, when there's more players and more role powers, but on a 6 person game it's frequently a failing tactic that ends with you having to guess Merlin, just like here. Good knights should also be super suspicious of someone who doesn't always put themselves on a team. If you the player know that you're good, you should put yourself on the team as a guaranteed pass. Anyone who doesn't do that, especially at the start, has suspect motives.
Out of the roll deduction games on the channel so far, this was definitely my favorite to watch. Might have to buy this one, looks really fun, and it really showed on the LR crew.
we definitely need more of this. the merlin rule makes this so much more interesting than the base game. regardless this particular group is always great for lets roll.

I played a game of this years ago with some friends. One of my friends and I had discussed a plan if it eventuated that we were both minions and one of us was king in the first round that we would both go on the mission and I would fail it. Everyone else knows that there is a traitor in the two, but they do not know which one. Surely there cannot be two traitors, right? 3 round win to the minions!
The voting with the black and white tokens is meant to be done ANONYMOUSLY. (You can find a pdf of the rulebook online to verify if you want). The vote tokens are supposed to be Merlin's way of speaking to the other innocents that he's not happy about the selection without giving himself up. Otherwise, great video guys, hope to see it played again!

Let's Roll may be my favorite series that Achievement Hunter produces. It has introduced me to a lot of board games that I have not heard of before, that I have added to my collection. I would be interested how more complex games would work with this sort of dynamic, but I don't think it would make the best sort of content. Deduction based games allow for the most interaction and conflict.
This was fun to watch please do it again ! however, Lindsay is hard to watch and made the game clunky. Please try it again with Jeramy instead instead of Lindsay
Lindsey shouldn't be in these kinds of games. Nothing against her, it's just that they point it out in the video, nobody trusts her so she's dead weight and can't participate.

Failing that first mission is dangerous, but it very often boils down to forcing the "good" players to make a 50/50 call down the road, OR forcing Merlin to push just a liiiitle too hard. Failing that first mission feels AMAZING. The REAL baller move is having both minions on the first mission, and managing for only one of you putting in the fail. Nobody ever suspects that both of you are bad at that point.
Play this more, I play it at home all the time and if you play with 8 players it gets even better cuz you add more rolls and it's amazing. The tension really gets to you

You should not have Lindsay in these types of games when she is the bad guy it lowers the chance of traitors winning significant'y because no one puts her on missions. If Michael didn't put Lindsay in for pity she would have never been picked for a mission. She didn't really get any chance to contribute because no one picks her for her wildcard personality. It's like when parents forces you to play with a younger sibling you let them play but never actually let them play just make them think they are playing so you don't get into trouble for not including them.
Love this game, me and my college roommates used to play it all the time. I would recommend at least playing with 7 as lower than that becomes pretty hard for the villains to win with. 10 with the special villains + perc is an absolute blast though

because of Lindsay likes to play chaos, it would have been bad if she was a good guy as well. As than on any mission with Lindsay and a minion the minion could fail the mission and let it get blamed on chaos from Lindsay.
These traitor games only really work, if when you are the good guy you only do good and tell the truth. Lindsay might have learned from that and just didn't get a chance to prove that, but in other similar games she really hurts the good side if she is on it by making her information untrustworthy and giving cover for the real traitors.
Even though any of them could have been "bad". Lindsey was never chosen because she is so random. Why risk it? I personally, (I'm not telling them who to put into these games/videos) would have rather seen someone like Jeremy, or even Fiona in this type of game. It's the game type not the game itself.

I actually think a scenario where the traitor can blame Lindsay is really good and interesting for the game, the traitors need an advantage and having someone the group doesnt trust can help the traitors and make the round more interesting. But because she was traitor every round that couldnt happen, just bad luck.
Honestly, I think Jeremy would have been Too good at this game, because he's an evil genius and all. I think Myatt would have been a great choice tho
I could see them having fun playing Cosmic Encounters. So many alien races to play for a lot of replayability

I love Secret Hitler, but to be honest I gotta say Avalon is more in-depth. Not the way they played it in the video though. There are some other parts of the game they left out like Morgana and Percival and the Lady of the Lake. When you add those in it makes the game so in-depth and complex in the best possible way.

It kinda makes me sad when I see Lindsey in a game where carefully applied logic needs to be applied. I love her in other videos, just not these types

This was honestly a worst case scenario for this game, shockingly the good team won 3 quests 3 times when half the bad team's strategy is just "lol random" the whole time. I think Ryan gave the "were definitely losing" look when he saw it was Lindsey again lol
First round, minions made a classic mistake of waiting too long to fail a quest. That tactic can work well on a game of 8-10, when there's more players and more role powers, but on a 6 person game it's frequently a failing tactic that ends with you having to guess Merlin, just like here. Good knights should also be super suspicious of someone who doesn't always put themselves on a team. If you the player know that you're good, you should put yourself on the team as a guaranteed pass. Anyone who doesn't do that, especially at the start, has suspect motives.
Out of the roll deduction games on the channel so far, this was definitely my favorite to watch. Might have to buy this one, looks really fun, and it really showed on the LR crew.

I played a game of this years ago with some friends. One of my friends and I had discussed a plan if it eventuated that we were both minions and one of us was king in the first round that we would both go on the mission and I would fail it.
Everyone else knows that there is a traitor in the two, but they do not know which one. Surely there cannot be two traitors, right?

The voting with the black and white tokens is meant to be done ANONYMOUSLY. (You can find a pdf of the rulebook online to verify if you want). The vote tokens are supposed to be Merlin's way of speaking to the other innocents that he's not happy about the selection without giving himself up. Otherwise, great video guys, hope to see it played again!

Let's Roll may be my favorite series that Achievement Hunter produces. It has introduced me to a lot of board games that I have not heard of before, that I have added to my collection. I would be interested how more complex games would work with this sort of dynamic, but I don't think it would make the best sort of content. Deduction based games allow for the most interaction and conflict.
This was fun to watch please do it again ! however, Lindsay is hard to watch and made the game clunky. Please try it again with Jeramy instead instead of Lindsay

@@piplupcola the difference is Jeremy is such a consummate liar he can trick people into forgetting they can't trust him. Jeremy has a handicap but knows how to double down on it to make it work. Lindsey going "fuck your mission" thirty rounds in a row gets stale.

Failing that first mission is dangerous, but it very often boils down to forcing the "good" players to make a 50/50 call down the road, OR forcing Merlin to push just a liiiitle too hard. Failing that first mission feels AMAZING.
The REAL baller move is having both minions on the first mission, and managing for only one of you putting in the fail. Nobody ever suspects that both of you are bad at that point.
Play this more, I play it at home all the time and if you play with 8 players it gets even better cuz you add more rolls and it's amazing. The tension really gets to you

That makes no sense at all, Goeff... Only bad guys know who the good people are and, hence, that you sent 2 good people.
Normally I find repeating the same joke all video annoying, but Lindsay’s “fuck ya mission” made me laugh every time
You should not have Lindsay in these types of games when she is the bad guy it lowers the chance of traitors winning significant'y because no one puts her on missions. If Michael didn't put Lindsay in for pity she would have never been picked for a mission. She didn't really get any chance to contribute because no one picks her for her wildcard personality. It's like when parents forces you to play with a younger sibling you let them play but never actually let them play just make them think they are playing so you don't get into trouble for not including them.

Love this game, me and my college roommates used to play it all the time. I would recommend at least playing with 7 as lower than that becomes pretty hard for the villains to win with. 10 with the special villains + perc is an absolute blast though

He's perfect for 7 player since the bad guys have strength in numbers and him being there weakens them a bit.
