    My question, there are original covers to close the holes at the proper level of finiture, how did you manage this task, sorry if I can check catalog to find out... cheers

      I'm not sure if I understand you hopefully you mean the bolt holes that hold the rail to the roof. As I installed a roof rack after removing the rails I used the same holes to bolt the roof rack onto. Hope this helps.

      @@chrisp10022 yes, absolutely, i was referring the final scope for the removing of the bars. In your case solved from the new roof rack that has support in the same attach as before. In my case, Prado 95 I would like to remove the two bars to use the lower space belwo the roof rack that is attached to the lateral cournice with six support.

    @4x4+2kids is the car still watertight when you take the factory rails off? I need to take them off and leave off for a few days.

      Yes it should be as it bolts into the roof, however I would fill the bolt hole with silicone so that it seals it and you can dig it out if you need to use it again. Only thing is that you will have a gap in the plastic roof trim.
