  • Join us on Day 3 of our Wyoming adventure brings us through one of the most iconic, and oldest, National Park; Yellowstone! With a different guided tour company, we explore (most) of the major points of interest. Of course, you can't get rid of the little voice in the back of your head telling you that you are sitting on a 40 mile wide volcanic caldera.
Unfortunately my wife did not accompany us as she was back in Jackson with the Covid Crud.
You can check out all available activities at Turpin Meadow Ranch on their website: www.turpinmead...

Awesome tour of Yellowstone. That place is amazing. We loved our visits there in the past. I saw in the new just last week that they have had lots of activity in the hot springs. Plus they have had to close some boardwalks because new hot pots have opened up and surfaced right next to and under the boardwalks. Crazy stuff. Glad you were able to explore there. That Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is amazing. Awesome trip. Take care and have a great day.

Little interesting fact, some of the thumping you can feel and hear near fumaroles and larger geysers is actually a lot of the highly pressurized steam hitting the sound barrier and making shockwaves, making the thumps

I love seeing Yellowstone. Even though it's my home state, I've only been in the park 3 times. Being in those huge crowds, you can probably guess why.
    Great video!

Mike, yeah, that was the one part I did not enjoy. Bison, jams, tourist, jams, and some real idiots mixed in there. But overall it was a bucket list destination, and will return again so my wife can experience it. Thanks for watching!

Yeah the past few years have been really good for low tourist counts and I’ve been able to go during peak season because of Covid and last year flooding. Other than that however I try to go mid to late august or very early June (I tend to go there for quite a while so august tends to be better for crowds, but June as you surely know, is more stable weather wise)

I understand you didn’t have the time, but it’s quite a shame you didn’t have time to check out the old faithful area further. That area has a few geysers that are without a doubt better than old faithful.

@chrisrenemans5026 That's what the ranger was telling me, but with a schedule to keep to (paid guide) we just didn't have the flexibility. Might do that next time. Thanks for the advice!
