    A huge moment for me on today's vlog. I went to buy meat for the first time in 5 1/2 years. I think I've been speaking about going back to eating meat for around 6 months now, it's just taken me a while to actually buy and cook it. So, come with me to one of my favourite farm shops, it's a truly special place, to buy organic, grass-fed beef for the week. We also find a new restaurant to have a family lunch in, it fits with my way of eating so much, it's definitely going to become a new go-to for me. I end the vlog actually cooking some of the meat I purchased so watch until the end for the recipe!

    I can't imagine how big of a change for you it is, I went 100% plant based only for year and it was so huge for me starting to eat eggs and wild caught fish for the first time at the beginning of this year. This video really made me want to get over my mental block as I have wanted to try eating meat again in the winter as I feel that is a very seasonal time to do so, tbh I am doing it purely because I am 16, I love whole real food cooking and I want to try new flavours and dishes that would have once grossed me out like veg heavy chicken soups. So, long story short I know the mental block is hard but you are very brave for listening to what you believe is best, and I will be following along and joining you on this journey when brothy soup season commences!!! wishing you all the best and looking forward to more lovely content

    I was vegetarian for 14 years and became so feeble. I started eating meat again. And Just this month really realized I need to eat more heaping meat until I get better. When you go so long without beef your B12 goes to zero and you must regenerate with heaps of beef and liver and bone broth.... good for you to do this for your health.

    I've started eating meat after being vegetarian for 15 years. I'm also doing it for health reasons as ive struggled so much with stomach issues, diverticulitis, inability to gain or sustain weight, acne, headaches, anxiety and depression. I found it really hard to start incorporating meat as i never really liked the taste of any meat. I'm 2 months in and the difference is crazy. I'm more keto now with my diet 70% meat I'd say remembering to prioritise protein with most meals. I've seen a huge difference in my stomach pain after any meals, no more bloat or stabbing pains, my acne is clearing up, I've not had one headache since i started and I've had 2 periods right on time which never happens for me! My joints feel less inflamed and I'm not exhausted even after i wake up. I know how hard it is to try and add meat back in but wish you the best in your health journey and goals!     Hi Donna, loving the content. I wanted to recommend Osso Bucco which you can slow cook in a dutch oven for six hours and its great source of collagen because of the marrow bone.

    Another brilliant vlog, it's great that your starting back on meat . It will benefit you we really need it for after the menopause. I don't like meat much but I Forse myself to eat it .lovely to see you with your sister and dad your sister looks so much like you all the things you do just remind me of myself. You like everything I like my goals are the same .if your ever needing a recipe for organic bone broth I would let you know, I am going to watch yours you might wonder I am up late I can't sleep with the menopause . Boring lol this is our time to really look after ourselves. In the winter I will give you some nice recipes that I make I have an aga and it's on all the year so I do another of cooking you and your sister look like twins she is lovely thanks for another great vlog take care Sandra xx

    Another beautiful shopping day Donna . . You have the exact same mannerisms as your lovely Papa . . You'll feel much better for adding the meat back into your diet but it's important you honour the change and sit with it however you wanted to in peace and quiet I'm sure . . If you want a tip Garam Masala is my go to meat herb, even thought it's quite 'indian' tasting it's wonderul on shreaded meat in a mexican style meal too . . Ps . . We have to do sunscreen right as a nation other wise our Australian sun would fry us all to oblivion . .Thank you for sharing your day with us . . 🌼 xx

    Oh that's a fantastic idea to chop the liver up and incorporate it into the mince! I really want to add liver to my diet but couldn't stomach eating it straight up haha -- love the vlog as per x

      Yes! You can also add it to the mince and make burgers with them. Just use lots of garlic and you won’t even taste it. So so nutritious 🫶🏼 and thanks for watching xx

      Veganism/vegetarianism is a scam. Humans need to eat meat specially red meat because pretty much all the protein and nutrients can be found in its bioavailable state. Red meat is also anti-inflammatory and healing.. if you want to be healthier and stronger then it’s a no-brainer. But hey, you do you!
