  • Hi, and Welcome Back to the channel.
This week I continue to feed below 10 degrees and try a specific all seasons product designed for Temps down to 8 degrees.
My last addition of water conditioner/clay before the pond is covered is added to get through the filters before the real low temps drop and I can deep clean the filters.
A deal is cut with The Bear that he wont keep chewing his Paws while filming.. But how long will that last..😁😁😁😉
Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, DING THE BELL and SHARE with all your friends..
    ENJOY...😉👍

Garlic is widely used in bird keeping to help reduce parasites. I've used it as a food and water additive for years.

Glad to see you are trying 😉 protein % is not fully related to water temperature. It just means it's a good food with fish meal inside and a bit of wheatgerm, which is much better than fully wheatgerm. Transition to a new food is desirable for all animals, propolis and garlic will definitely help, if anything for their skin and luster.

I'm feeding the same food for their teatime, when the water has warmed up to 10ish. For breakfast I feed Saki Hikari all season, it can be fed down to 5 degrees. My small koi feed on the far side of the pond so I still give them saki for tea. My fish are still eating like the piglets they are! I also give them a frozen treat that I make up for them, to avoid issues like swim bladder... I call it fish fudge, lol... They fight over the cubes. Greetings from Derby

@@KoiPondLifestyle I cook and Mash a sweet potato (no skin), add dried bloodworm, dried mealworm, dried shrimp, spirulina powder, garlic and multivitamin drops for babies (I might have missed another dried creature.... I'm not at home and I have the memory capacity of a goldfish on a good day!), mix then blitz into a super scummy paste and pack it into an ice cube tray (I use the ones that make really small cubes). Freeze it overnight and that's it! It looks like little cubes of fudge, hence the name. I only feed it once a week and one or two to each piggy as the protein content is high. Oh, I also add some dried red pepper... Told you, bad memory lol

Temp outside now at - 5 below freezing this will be a good test for the covers we have also moved into the possibility of snow dropping over night and will power cuts happen this week. A point for those on a Pension or who get benefits the staff that send the money out by computer will be going on strike. th-cam.com/video/h0L6-iIg73E/w-d-xo.html

I think this is wrong if you live in Spain and get pension credit or a disability payment in the UK you also get the winter fuel payment from the government. As pensions are paid into UK banks you are believed to be living in the UK so get all the payments a Pensioner on pension credit or disability in the UK gets. I would of thought some form of check must be or should be made it basically means you can be paid to live in spain.
Winter Fuel Payment You’ll get a payment of:
£500 if you were born between 26 September 1942 and 25 September 1956
You’ll be paid into the bank account your Pension is usually paid into.
You can automatically qualify for a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2022/2023 if the following apply:
you lived in the UK for at least one day during the week of 19 to 25 September 2022
    - this is called the ‘qualifying week’
