I think you should have the 3 bobble head figures of the guys enlarged and put them outside the store, and have them illuminated at night, or not. Thanks for the fish info.

I'm big fan of using commercial fish farm meds because you get bulk amount at fair price for some reason meds for aquarium use are 10x expensive and very small amount so great tip is find out what medication is in the "aquarium med" product and then a quick search on eBay or online you can find bulk amounts of it at surprisingly cheaper or more for your money prices

great info Ed. I am considering building a large pond - apron. 15K gallons. My plan was to build it with a wetland filter 8'x16', negative edge spillway skimmer and an under gravel "down flow filter. My plan was a network of perforated 2" pic under about 6" on 3/4 - gravel that pulls the water down through the gravel 24/7. have you ever built a pond like that? what do you think of doing it that way. two pumps about 7k gal each - one to the under gravel and one to the wetland. what do you think?

I watched Cheerios medicated recipe. Questions
Half a box of Cheerios = how many cups?
How many packets of Maracyn Two?
    How many cups of water?
This makes 1 pound of medicated Cheerios?
Do you feed them along with their reg food or in lieu?
Been trying different portions but no change in fish. Please help

Feed them with their regular food,
Add the water slowly allowing it to absorb but not making it too wet.
4-6 cups, the Cheerios will expand when they get wet but they’ll shrink as it dries

Great info about the functionality of the ecosystem. A good friend gave me the same method but said to use Oxytetracycline powder. I think it might be specific for ulcer treatment. Andrew do you know?

    • @ZokomoTV
      @ZokomoTV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I know it can be used for treatment of ulcers. I'm not 100% if it is safe to ingest though!

I don't see this being a good way to medicate fish. There is no way of controlling how much Erythromycin went to each cheerio, and how much each fish gets. Those packets are for 10gal and he mixed 2 in a cup and just poured and mixed. The dosage can't be correct.

Using a medicated food is always a better way of medicating fish in a large body of water for bacterial infections. medicating the water can cause issues with damage to biological filtration, poor water quality is the number one issue when it comes to fish health. Medicated food provides a greater chance that active ingredients like erythromycin will be absorbed by fish that are sick. You are treating the fish itself internally. Yes, it is difficult to control the dosage rate to each individual fish, using 200 mg of erythromycin and a large amount of food will cause no damage and only help the fish. A good alternative is injection but not an option for most fish keepers. I hope this explanation helps!

@@scottrhodes7085 I think you missed the point I was making. My dispute isn't about the method of delivery, it was clearly about dosage. And the fact it can't be controlled this way. One cheerio may have 20mg (just an example I don't know the amount) of med and one might have 1mg and you don't know which cheerio that is and you don't know which fish gets which cheerio either.
Like I said the dosage is all over the place.
