I am curious why you would not wear a velvet blazer with velvet pants? Could you explain? I did just that this week, a cranberry velvet blazer, silver silk blouse and black velvet, tuxedo pants. I received a few compliments but mind you I was dressed up compared to some people who showed up in jeans and fleece tops!
If it's a suit or looks like a suit that's great. I think mine could look like a suit and be OK. I just had in my head thar separates of velvet thar look mismatched would be clumsy. Ie red jacket and black trousers. I also have a black pleated skirt that would look good wutg a velvet cardi jacket too. You've got me thinking 🤔
Nothing velvet in my wardrobe but I have a couple of sparkly sequinned dresses for parties, not that we go to many these days! I like sparkly tops to wear with trousers too, especially for dancing, can get away with flat shoes then!
Nice suggestions, but, I have been to an xmas meal out and an afternoon get together so far, no one dressed up. At the charity shop fewer sparky evening wear items have sold. I think people dressing up less for xmas events.
I have a burgundy velvet dress that I’ve had for years. It’s just a classic but every single picture at Christmas. I’m wearing it. I just got a new one. That’s not velvet but it’s a burgundy. I think I need a new one. It’s also a classic cut. It’s a wrapped dress.
No velvet dress but I do have some beautiful velvet trousers, change the top and it looks different every time, no parties To go to so not a challenge. So sorry to hear about your wrist, take care lovely xx

Every time you pop up on my TH-cam I feel like a trusted old friend is there to offer great advice! BTW, did you ever make that second painting?
I did. I went last Wednesday and did a Xmas tree l hubs came with me to assist as I have the broken wrist issue. I’ll put a picture up for over the next few days.
Sorry about the broken wrist (been there and done that). Bad timing! I was often saved by bags of prewashed cut up vegetables and salad, cut up chicken and premade hash browns. My kids were little and luckily never complained about the same meals on repeat for 7 weeks. How long do you need to wear your cast?
You poor thing, go by your gut feeling, weather you want them to operate. I refused, they were not happy. My wrist is now 99.999% back to normal. I know someone who went with the operation and has had nothing but trouble. Take care. Love Debra xxx

Thank you. the exceptional rain has made our clay soil slippery and i had a new patio being laid to solve the problem. hoever as the cement was wet I walked on the churned mud and slipped landing on my wrist.

May need surgery on Friday. Xray Wednesday will give idea whether bone moved after it was manipulated back into place last Thursday,.
