I am 80 and live in an independent living facility where we have lovely apartment but they do housekeeping,a nice restaurant, exercise classes and activities. I worked in the fashion industry and have always cared about clothes, ever since I was a small child. And I still keep up, don’t want to get stuck in the 80s and 90s when I was in my “prime” though I always bought high quality classic clothing with a twist, which is still what I like. I still buy new looks but have many items that are decades old but don’t look it. I am not happy about my current shape, lack of a strong jaw line, etc. but make it look the best it can. I need to do this the same as I need to breathe, and do it for myself, my own state of mind. Many women no longer care and maybe they never did. I now find kindred spirits like you on TH-cam. Thank you.
This beautiful comment brought a tear to my eye. I so believe that showing up for yourself every day makes such a difference in keeping us young and confident. I have so many friends that are older than me that embrace their age and live life to the full. I hope that as I get older I will do the same. My mum has always carried herself well, dressed beautifully with grace and that's what I aim to do. Thank you so much for your comment xx
I have never liked or looked good in white button front shirts. Now that my hair is white, I find black looks great because of the contrast. I'm 72 and love fashion!! My style is more Boho and casual.
@@lose999 Thanks so much for your comment. I know! Some colours just seem to wash us out. I love cream and beige but so many shades of them just don’t suit me! X
Hi Karen, it seems we are of a similar age, similar name, similar 80’s curly perm (long gone thankfully but loved it at the time). 😀 I’m guessing you’re from the north west of England. I am too but live elsewhere now. Good luck with your channel!

Love how it's keeping it classy and elegant
Agree! We can look great at any age by keeping it classic and stylish! x
Does this apply to men too?
Of course!
@@ParisianThinker but if you're being serious I will do a similar video for men!
