Just to get reasonable healthcare in parts of the US you have to claim to be religious. You can't drink alcohol outside in much of the US. You can't even smoke indoors in the US. Fascism always turns on itself and makes enemies out of its former base when it runs out of external enemies. The right as a whole is very good at solidarity (just look at the people who say they'd vote for Trump no matter what he did), and fascism does the same thing with that particular trait that it does with everything else it co-opts. It twists the ideology and cranks it up to 11. Nothing forms a cohesive unit like a common enemy. Especially if that enemy was just here with us. We let that close to us, and we must purge it to make us pure.

In decades past, people with it continued to live until natural physical death. Still do, except for people suffering from a separate condition making them opt for suicide. Transitioning isn't a cure for the underlying conditions which lead to suicide. In fact, it often makes them worse.

What are they talking about? It's either aggrievement complex and fear mongering.
What are the major problems which people have that policy can change?
Is it "CRT" (which doesn't exist outside of law schools) or trans bathrooms, a situation which someone might come into contact with perhaps once in 10 years? Even if you did, why do you care? It has zero effect on you.
People are suffering because wages are stagnant, suppressed, housing is completely overpriced, corporations are price gouging and the quality of life for most Americans is getting worse by the month.
Why? In large part because corporations, the individuals that own and manage, them and their monumental greed have created a two tiered economic hellscape.
A plutocracy. Our federal and state governments are compromised by money and the influence of the wealthy.
Science backs all of this up.
These challenges need to be met but conservatives are trying to impede progress on every level and TRUE HUMAN FREEDOM by buttressing these corrupt systems they created in the first place.
They are the ones sitting on the other side of the seesaw, way up in the air.
The core of conservative ideology is purely "I'm doing fine, my family is OK, I don't see a problem with the forced labor camps. Nothing needs to change."

Just for the record, the guy Rubin was talking to in the first clip, John Anderson, is a complete non-entity also desperately searching for an audience. Because he used to be Deputy PM of Australia, he can present like he's a big deal, but what people overseas don't realise is that Deputy PM is far, far more meaningless than Vice President. Because our conservative parties can only get into government as a coalition, the Deputy Prime Ministership goes to the leader of the junior party - that is The Nationals Party, which used to be the Country Party, i.e. the conservatives who pretend to care about farmers. So John Anderson was leader of the Nationals - at the time he was in office that meant he was in control of 19 seats out of a Parliament of 224, but just had an important sounding title to sound like a bigshot. At this point more Americans probably know who this guy is than Australians. You could probably stop 150 people on the street and Sydney and none of them would have heard of him. I cannot emphasise enough what a nobody the guy is.
