You fight 3 times a year at most that’s 12,000 if you win every single fight or 8k for an entire year… you said it these guys beat each other up.. that means hospital bills which the UFC doesn’t pay. And then there’s the fact you have to train to beat someone up who also trains to beat people up that costs money. Strickland as a champ made 400,000k to show up and 400k to win that’s 800k.. you know a Japanese baseball player just signed a 500 million dollar contract right? @@missinterpretation4984 I went to an event and had no problems. This was back in 2015, though. It might have changed.
@@jackyerdadov2155it has changed a ton: used to be the most controversial thing was GsP saying he was not impressed with matt Hughes’ performance and then appologizing, now Dana has gone full WWE and his fighters are allowed to say whatever they want
@@jamescooke7243 what are you talking about? I put some money on DDP by sub in R2/3/4
This really confirms the medical consensus that being hit in head repeated is bad for your brain.
There are actually quite a few MMA fighters who are liberal/left-wing or have said they support political positions like that. They were a lot more vocal about it during the BLM protests a few years ago.... Perhaps the most significant one in recent times was Francis Ngannou, the heavyweight champion who tried to leverage his position to give fighters more labour rights.
Nowadays most of them just seem to keep it to themselves, though. Probably because they don't want to antagonise Dana White, who is a longtime friend of Donald Trump.
@@andu1854 Well most of them aren't really that vocal about their politics. And I think fewer still would have a coherent political ideology (like most people). But some examples would be:
- Tyron Woodley, Jon Jones, Stipe Miocic, Angela Lee (pro-BLM).
- Demian Maia, Nate Quarry (leftist)
- Alexander Volkanovski (supports the Australian Labor Party)
- Jeff Monson (anarcho-communist)
- Ronda Rousey, Kevin Lee (pro-Bernie)
- Karolina Kowalkievicz (pro-choice)
- Francis Ngannou, Luke Rockhold (anti-Trump)
- Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann, Tom Aspinall, Michael Bisping (anti-Tory)
You could probably problematise every single one of those. But the point is I wouldn't call any of them right-wingers.
I like Francis but acting like him wanting more money to fight is some labor action is nonsense. Jon Jones is the furthest from left leaning also.
Dubin: _"...fixate on these faux social issues."_
My dude...this man and the garbage who think like him would see you up against a wall for the crime of being *who you are.* And yet here you are defending him. Absolutely despicable.
Anheuser-Busch has a partial stranglehold on the beer distribution racket. They’ll be swell regardless of anything that happens to Bud Light. tim poop is talkin crap
Yeah and Kid Rock once he wasted his money shooting up Bud Light, went back to selling it at his bar
Is Rubin that stupid that he doesn't realize that Strickland hates him too?
The UFC is woke? Really?
Because some sports reporter asks some known homophobe/transphobe some questions about his delusions?
Seems that Rubin is sis months behind the news if he thinks that trump is surging in he polls just recently,
coincidentally, after the candidate that he supported quit their campaign.
What a disingenuous clown.
@@hardphlex Though he is dumb AF, I think that it's willful ignorance just to keep up with the obvious grift he's boxed himself into.
It is a lucrative box though.
24:47 dave: basically everyone under 55 doesn’t care about sexuality
Also Dave: you would come to my wedding right?
Ben Shapiro: NO… but it’s not personal
Didn't Rubin's audience use the same talking points against him when he announced that he was having a kid
I wonder if Rubin is gonna come out as straight someday, unfortunately that doesn't sound as ridiculous as it would have a few years ago.
"Sean goes hard." No tim....sean does not go hard. He sucks.
"Live and let live" yeah it's the "let live" part that I think you're not really in favor of though, Dave.
Tim is so desperate to feel important that he begs people to do twitter things.
That embarrassed look on Dave’s face that he gets each time he swallows his own dignity and pride, just to cash another check is hilarious!🤣
Also, the first reporter to try to ask a question got way outta hand without reason, he wasn’t even able to start the question… Strickland started with “are you Canadian” “did you vote Trudeau” he brought the hatred out first, and the clip Dim Tool was the second reporter to ask a question.
Pool forgot to put on his thinking beanie today.
God, Dave Rubin trying to defend Sean Strickland is so painful and pathetic
So glad DDP is the new champion. He's a class act and not insecure like Strickland.
Class acts don't jump the cage and run to Trump immediately after winning their fight or race bait for marketing
For real, I’ll choose hearing him speak and fight over Strickland any day.
Don't like either and DDP calling himself the "Real African in the UFC" was just cringe af.
“You’re my son so you need to breed a female or I look WEAK!”
This isn’t just fragile masculinity, this is *advanced* fragile masculinity
Yeah he's a pro fighter who was abused as a kid, talks about it a lot, and his peers make fun of him. Total maelstrom environment of toxic masculinity
They think women AND men are just baby-making machines.
The amount of estrogen seeping out of these comments is pathetic 😂
@@moodycxnt Yeah and it's not the fact that it happened to him, but that he then goes on to admit he's a messed up person who talks out of his ass and no one should listen to him. Yet conservatives like Tim Pool argue his message is important and try to validate him with some conspiracy about Bud Light somehow coordinating a deliberate attack through public backlash. I wonder how it long his team took to come up with that one.
“You need to breed or I look WEAK!” Did he say that anywhere? His argument is about having a biological grandson. You can argue against him without creating a straw man.
