Looking forward to seeing this thing in action! It's a beautiful machine. I just came upon 458 pounds of brass so apparently I'm getting into reloading now lol
Thank ya for watching and commenting FatYokel, welcome to our community and the channel!! WOW, sounds like ya scored on some brass, pistol, rifle or a combination of both? Yes sir, this AGS machine is very nice, Stefan did a nice job putting this one together for sure!! I preciate ya stopping by the channel, come back and visit when ya can, have a great week!!!! Dan
@@HomeInTheSticks Thank ya sir! You're livin' the dream out there in the sticks, great channel. I work from home so spend too much time on youtube lol so yeah I'll be dropping by :) I think you've made another sale for Stefan, I also really like the look of the tumbler you're using. I want to purchase 'one and done' if possible, I think this brass will make it worth it in time. It seems to be roughly 10 percent various large caliber rifles, 10 percent revolver cartridges, 15-20 percent 5.56, with the rest being an even mix of 9 40 and 45. Seems like it was probably swept off someone's outdoor range based on the variety of age/tarnish, a good third of it tho looks very shiny. I guess time will tell if it'll be worth what I paid, I got it at scrap price spur of the moment type thing lol. Thanks for the response I look forward to learning more here :)
Thank ya for watching and commenting my friend!! It's a useful piece of equipment if one shoots a lot!! I have a bunch of brass to process so this annealer will pay for itself in a few weeks lol, have a great weekend!! Dan
Great little machines. Well built quality. I run dual torches on mine which speeds up the process considerably. I decided to automate mine, and being case feeder fed is a huge time saver.
Thank ya for watching and commenting sir, welcome to the channel!! So far I've been highly impressed with this annealer, outdoes the Annealeez consistency wise. I hear ya on the dual torches, I may have to convert over to that soon!! I stopped over at your channel, sweet mods on your AGS!!! Have a good un!! Dan
Thank ya sir and I thank ya for watching and commenting, welcome to the channel!! Yes sir, I've been extremely happy with this machine. I've run several thousands of rounds using it with zero problems!! Have a great week!! Dan
I have had very good customer service. I emailed them about a shell holder for a 22 hornet and they got back to me within a very short time and inform me they had one and I just needed to order it and they gave me the website.
Mine would not take my 45-70 Government rounds, it would end up getting jammed. I ended up expanding the hole. Now they fall thru just fine. Also the motor that spins the brass case was about .002 high. I ened up using a C-clamp to adjust the turntable to make it flush. now it is working just fine. my quesion to you is, are you letting your brass Air cool or are you Water cooling them?
Thank ya for watching and commenting sir, welcome to the channel!! Wow, that's surprising on having to expand that hole for the casings to fall thru...I annealed a few 338 Lapua cases recently and for a minute I thought my cases were hanging up but it was an error on my part lol. AS far as my brass, I air cool them, I've had excellent results so far!! Have a great week!! Dan
Small tip for R cases like 45-70 - unwind the rotating arm a turn or two, so it pushes the plate a bit further but still allows it to lock in place, and they will fall right through. As for heating station spot, the screw that holds it in place can get loose so it doesnt sit flush. Adjusting is straightforward, release the block thats holding the motor, and adjust it so it sits 0.059" above the block - it will be flush with the surface. I hope this helps. As for cooling, no need to water cool them. Thanks :)
Thank ya for watching and commenting Big E, welcome to the channel!! Cool, I didn't know that, thank ya for bringing this up, now I know!! I preciate ya stopping by the channel, have a great week!! Dan
hey dan how long did you leave your single torch on your brass? im using the single torch for right now. mine is 6.5 creedmoor lapua brass. thank you!!
Thank ya for watching and commenting Stacy Duplessie, welcome to the channel!! If I remember correctly, I run BLK brass at 44 % and my 6.5 Grendel Lapua brass at 39%, I'd have to check my notes to verify lol!! I preciate ya stopping by the channel, have a great week!! Dan
Can I ask which torch hose/s you went with? And are the holes drilliednintontuenSharpienhilder you got both the same size or is one larger than the other? Asking because that’s why it looked like in your video. Mine were both the same diameter so I’m going to have to drill one larger. FWIW, I went with version 3.1 because I don’t, nor do I ever plan to, reload for, and thus, anneal .416 Cheytac and or .50BMG. As to Stefan, he’s a great guy and he has a great company with great annealing machines that backs up what they make and sell with excellent customer service.
Thank ya for watching and commenting sir, welcome to the channel!! I went with Benzomatic pencil torches and I purchased the braided hose off of Amazon if I remember correctly. The holes on my machine are two different sizes, maybe down the road I'll go to a two torch setup but I went with the 3.2 version for that purpose. I do anneal some 50 BMG for a friend so the annealer worked out good for me lo. As far as Stefan, I agree with everything ya said about him and his company!! I preciate ya stopping by the channel, have a great weekend!! Dan
Thank ya for watching and commenting be silly sometime, welcome to the channel!! I'm really liking the 3.2 version, covers everything one would want to anneal and I'm definitely with ya on changing over to a different caliber, super easy!! I preciate ya stopping by the channel, have a great weekend!! Dan
Got the same one. The hole for the 2nd torch holder is placed wrong. The actuating arm will strike the shaft for the torch holder. The owner is aware of the problem but didn’t offer a solution or to make it right.
Well, I have an update I should share regarding my previous comment. The owner of AGS (Stefan) read my comment and sent out a modified torch holder that should clear the actuating arm. Our emails aren’t cooperating because he’s apparently been trying to reach me and I recently sent him an email when I received the shipping notification thinking there was a mistake but didn’t hear back. I hadn’t pressed the issue with him after initially telling him about it because on the rare occasion I need to run both torches, I had come up with a suitable solution. (Clamped 2nd torch to an adjustable soldering jig) Stefan, I hope this comment finds you. Thanks for taking the time to send out the fix. -Garrett
@@garrettbinley7349 Garrett, I am not sure whats with emails, but as soon as I saw this I've sent you the proper holder - I am pleased to hear that it reached you. Thank you for your patience, and understanding.
