i was lucky enough to do a master class with two actors from the show and then sit 2nd row at the performance this past saturday and can i just say.. wow. i was not expecting it to be so amazing. the dancing was superb and the singing and acting.. amazing. if youre thinking about seeing this show, see it. you will definitely not regret it. i promise.

Stephen Colbert's musical guests are outstanding...the talent ..show after show is just amazing...this is a great human rights piece so resonates with everyone all over the world...and so well deserved of the 7 Tony award nominations...
I heard a song from Dear Evan Hansen and The Prom for the first time here in LSSC. I love Stephen Colbert, and I love this show so much because of these performances!
I'm so glad that this show exists and this song exists and that these humans exist to perform it... and for some reason I really love how they sang it out of costume too. I promise I'm not crying (I'm crying)
I think they're in costumes (at least ensemble) from another scene in the show, just not this one. Agreed, I love that this song and show exists.
Why she wasn't automatically chosen for Netflix's The Prom will forever trouble me.

I think the entire cast auditioned. I'm mostly fine with the casting choice, except James Corden.
@@OctavinaPlayer having seen the film, he's surprisingly not as bad as I thought he would be. The American accent is only weird for abt 5 minutes, and he genuinely made me cry several times. Nothing spectacular, and surely nobody's topping Brooks, but really touching and heartfelt

This is absolutely incredible!! To say Caitlin Kinnunen is an amazingly talented singer and performer is the understatement of the century. I'm getting this soundtrack today! What an amazing musical and such a much needed message in today's climate. I hope this absolutely sweeps the Tonys. It should. The Prom, and everyone who produced and took part in this show, you rock!

I saw ALL the nominated musicals this season and Ms. Kinnunen gets my TONY for BEST ACTRESS IN A MUSICAL. She brings great heart to PROM's whimsey.

I clicked on this before I saw what it was. I clicked on it like, "Oh, more Prom stuff," because I watch everything I can find for this musical. Thereby, I've already seen this performance, but it hit my emotions all over again.

You sang this better than the movie version hands down. The movie girl isn't horrible she just doesn't have this depth of emotion.

One of the best musicals I've seen in years and I'm including Hamilton. Hope it sweeps this year.
I liked this show but didn't love it. To each their own. I found some of the jokes didn't work and the music kinda bland. It is a fun show at times and they are definitely all talented. Hadestown will win best musical though, it is a work of art.

@@Asylum07MasterMadman but the prom also has something to say. not on a political level, but to the society. not only to "tolerate other people" but it has the whole song that says christian people shouldn't be hypocrites about saying what's good or bad based on bible, because in bible jesus himself said that we should love other people like we love ourselves. religious people often forget about this. so yeah, maybe it did not deserve to win the best musical award, but it clearly has its messege.
i love love love hadestown but it won so many arguably underserving awards, the best staging easily is beetlejuice. hadestown deserved best musical but definitely not best scenic design and best lighting. imagine how they gave those 5 lamps the best lighting, whilst beetlejuice used one of the best lighting technologies and yet were robbed.
This song is so beautiful. And I can relate to it immensely. Ugh I just love this musical.

Loved this! Caitlin is awesome. The Movie got me here, i had not heard of this show or cast before now unfortunately. Movie made me aware and look. Now im a fan of people i did not know before dec 10. Its all good to me. Loved the movie and cast and love getting to know more about the show that ran and its cast. All have seemed pretty great and gracious. Glad this story is getting out there more. ❤️🎶

In honor of National Coming Out Day 2020! I was going to wait until after the Netflix movie comes out in December to watch this though. Now I see why this song is the You Will Be Found of the Prom

When I first saw the movie (I hadn’t seen the musical or listened to it much) this song really stuck out to me. It made me cry every time I heard it. Then when I came out about a week ago, this song really made me feel heard. I still cry to it but not in the sad way I did before coming out.

Film version is out on Netflix. I know some folks aren't happy with the casting, but since no one can go to live theater right now, it's definitely worth an evening.

It’s like they literally erased everything that made Emma Emma. The movie version was cast as a very skinny, very socially attractive, not really awkward girl that could easily pass for a straight popular girl. They also cast a straight woman pretty sure

If you can find a bootleg of the Broadway show, watch it. Emma and Alyssa have much more to do in it. Their songs were hacked to pieces in the movie. (There is one on here if you look hard enough).
