I'm looking for a retro game like this but much older, circa 1990-1994. The vehicle could fly in the air, have wheels on the ground or be a jet boat on water. Anyone have any idea what this game was?

This has pretty decent voice acting for an arcade game.

Imagine being batman and rather than saving innocent civilians from Dastardly criminals, you just mount 2 cannons onto your vehicle and mow down half the entire civilian population of Gotham destroying every single car you see.

I wish this game was not only for the arcades, but for every other system out there. Cause, as a Batman fan, i would love to play it.
Guess we can play it on PC through "emulaaion" (despite this was an arcade game running into a PC modded as an arcade if i recall right). The bad is TeknoParrot used to be a pretty bitch.

This game looks like a mix between Twisted Metal (shoot and destroy action) and Burnout (high-speed chase vehicles)
I’ve never heard of those 2 games before but they both sound interesting. I like it!

I played this arcade at a pizza place called BJ’s pizzeria, and man this game kicks ass, they should port this game on home consoles.
This is one of my favorite arcade games.

@RedTony I planned to beat all 3 stages in Johnny Nero: Action Hero with Guns of Fury akimbo mode at Eleanor's Undertow in Lincoln City, OR, but I ran out of quarters halfway through The Mummy King stage (I beat the Space Wars stage).

I remember playing this game when I was at an old arcade I was 13 when I played this for the first time.
I'm surprised that what Mr. Freeze said around 41:59-42:05, 42:17-42:23 & 35:55 weren't used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the mid-1997 movie 'Batman & Robin'.
"A chilling turn of events." would've been a good cold-related pun to incorporate into the script, actually...
I think "My wrath is cold like the hand of vengeance.", for example would've been a more sinister line, though--albeit it would still considered an ice-related pun.

I remember this was one of my favourite games I'd play at any arcade. Slightly annoying how levels 3 and 5 are rigged to instant-kill you at the beginning, I'd only ever get to the beginning of level 3 because I'd save the rest of my coins for ticket games :'(

Seriously. For an arcade game, this game goes harder than it should. It’s like the devs knew that not everyone had a steering wheel added to their controller so they just put this in an arcade. My god, this was the funnest out of every arcade game to plane.

I remember playing this at Stars and Strikes back in 2018. I beat Freeze and Bane, and then I did the Joker level but when I got to the part there you’re supposed to ram him with the Batmobile, I missed. And I didn’t have any S&S points left to try again. Thank god I get to see the ending here.😂

Constant unavoidable damage, no way to recover armour, this is a coin muncher in every sense of the word.
Sometimes you can get health back when your at 1 hp. I could beat the bane and mr. freeze boss fights with no damage taken.
Either way, it’s still fun
yeah, i've been wondering if there was a way to avoid damage, though it kind of looks like you can if you stay off of the enemy vehicle's tail...
This is a classic of a game , need this in my life 😍
I like how most versions of Batman have an almost religious commitment to not killing anyone, then in this game his solution to every problem is jut strapping two LMGs to the Bat-mobile and shooting everything that moves.

I like how you chose the most appropriate Batmobile for each of the villains for the "EASY" and "HARD":
Mr. Freeze (EASY) - Batman Classic TV Series: A callout to the 1966 version of Mr. Freeze, so it is appropriate to use the 1966 Batmobile.
Bane (EASY) - Batman Animated Series: A callout to the 1992 Animated Series featuring Bane in 1994, so using the 1992 Animated Series Batmobile is correct.
The Joker (EASY) - If possibly a callout to the 1989 Joker. Although not correct when using the 1995 Batmobile from Batman Forever, the 1989 Batmobile would be more appropriate.
Mr. Freeze (HARD) - Batman Animated Series: A callout to the 1992 Animated Series featuring Mr. Freeze in the episode "Hearts of Ice" in 1992. The vehicle chosen is spot-on.

I remember playing this game with a friend, and he would simply explore the city while I came in clutch to clear the missions within the time limits. It was challenging, but it paid off. (that was until we both died with no continues left)

Gotham City looks amazing in this! Kind of a mixture of classic Burton and modern movies and 90s comics. Would love just to drive around exploring. :D
That's what the devs where going for. Read in an interview that they built the open world of Gotham based on official DC-created maps of the city. Crazy for an arcade game to go that far.
