At least Gaipa smiled that moment he realized that Wen makes uncle Jim happy he is such a nice person, and the way Li Ming was looking at his Mom it's beautiful, the dinner table was so beautiful the way uncle Jim was just looking at everyone proudly and he was so content and happy.

Jim is the voice of reason. He has experienced so much that he understands everything what's going through Li Ming. I'm glad he could convince his sister. Jim is the biggest support system in Li Ming's life.

This BL showed us a slice of life and the financial struggles through Uncle Jim’s character. It showed us about a life of a differently abled people through Heart’s character. And it also showed us about youth who don’t want to study further but want to do what their heart say’s through Li-Ming’s character. And through Alan’s character we also saw about how past relationships still hurts and about not wanting to leave them alone. Through Saleng and Preaw we saw how a couple go through sudden pregnancy. Not to mention Wen who showed us about people who want to leave their past behind but still have to deal with emotional struggle. And Gaipa showed us how people hide their pain when the person they like don’t like you back no matter how good you are.This drama was well written and acted by all our favorite actors without a doubt ❤

I love that Uncle Jim is finally breaking the cycle of fear and has finally learned that rather than sheltering his nephew so he wouldn't go through the same things he did, he's letting him make mistakes and guide him through it.

The small interaction between Wen and Gaipa was short but meaningful. And I noticed that in one of the sequence, when they both came out of the temple, you can see when it pans to Gaipa, there's dark clouds looking over him, indicating the dark and heavy feeling of dealing with his mom no longer being around. When it pans to Wen, it's bright and clear, an indication of the emotion baggage and guilt no longer there and the pressure being lifted off his shoulders. As you see from 18:21-18:28 The little details they put in this was genius.

Crying yet another spectacular series is drawing its curtains but I'm so glad to see Li Ming and his mother reconciling and sharing such a beautiful moment together, as well as JimWen being all lovey dovey with their soon to be new home. uncle jim saying 'look at you' to his sister & thereby using her as an example of failed hetero relationships is honestly FOUL lmao he's so- 😭😭🤪
He's so honest. Remember he went through what would have turned out to be a failed relationship too, whether or not Beam had died. Seems to me it shows how honest they can be with each other. You do wonder about Jam's relationship with Tong. Everything she has now, everything she can offer, she gets from Tong. She pays for Li Ming's sneakers with Tong's credit card. That's the latest mention but there were others. I think that Jim doesn't want to get into that position too. If it was his sister helping him out, that's one thing, but Tong is not a blood relative.
I am devastated at Jim losing the diner. I was waiting for Gaipa to say he was continuing the chicken stall at the market because "it is who I am." The diner is what Jim is. It's his public contribution to the world. I'm wondering what he can do that will make him as happy in the future and also contribute to others. We know he doesn't want to sponge off of Wen. And we have to get Gaipa and Alan together, don't we? Well, three more segments to go.

"whatever makes you happy, do it, Mom" I think this is all what Jam has been waiting to hear. The gradual bond between Li Ming and her. Li Ming is getting aware of his surrounding and it was sweet how he supported his mom. Their talk was so heartwarming. I feel emotional here.

“We shouldn’t become the adults we hate” that was such a well delivered line and I love how it’s Jim the one saying it to his sister. He had a fragile relationship with his nephew, he was the one thinking he was right, he didn’t listen to what Li Ming wanted, but he didn’t want to lose him and he didn’t want to make his life more difficult, so I’m glad he changed that mentality of his and grew as a person. Li Ming was right, you can’t force love, he doesn’t have to love his mother back, but she is trying and she really wants his approval. I just love this scene 15:09, he’s somehow looking at his mom and it’s like he’s seeing her for the very first time. They will go their separate ways, but he will always be her son, she will always be his mom. I look at this at him feeling the love for her for the very first time. His eyes looks in such a heartfelt way. Li Ming is really someone easy and not complicated, so I’m glad his mom is the same. I also love how Gaipa recognized there was love between Jim and Wen and he realized that was not his story 18:48 he doesn’t belong there. It’s sad, but he needs to move on 🥺

13:25 is the scene which took my breath away. The amount of pause, courage, that hesitation which Li ming showed in those 2-3 seconds was amazing. How his voice cracks a bit as if he got emotional and a little - little bit worried about his mom. So so spot on. It's not a new fact, now that fourth is a gem of an actor.
And gemini, oof. The subtle things which if you don't observe would miss out. He has put those elements in the character's acting. Like when eating dinner he wasn't looking in any direction from which sound/noise would come. I know not a new fact now that we are on ep 8. But I thought it's worth praising once again.

Li Ming is honestly one of the best characters in this show. He has so much more maturity than anyone gives him credit for and approaches all the relationships in his life in a healthier way than anyone else. Even when he has arguments or disagreements, he knows how to communicate, apologize and forgive in a way that is beyond his years. Such a well written and performed character ❤️

Uncle Jim reminding his sister that overbearing parents are the reason they both ran away from home was such a good scene, as was the scene where she reconnected with her son and talked about her upcoming remarriage. The way she reminded him that other people will always gossip, so all we can do is make sure to find our own happiness despite that. She was speaking to him as well when she said so, proving that her brother's words reached her and made her see that she was worried for the wrong reason. Lovely scenes all around!
I really appreciate the casting. P'Lookwa and Fourth have such a cute bond that their mother-son chemistry is reflected so wonderful on screen. I couldn't ask for more. And Thank you for having her as Gun's mom, too in MSP.

Closing the moonlight chicken is Uncle Jim’s hardest thing he’s done in a while, he kept it opened for the memories of Beem . Now he’s moving on with his new life with Wen. As one door closes another one opens and hopefully a fresh chapter in their lives. As for Li Meng and Heart their new chapter begins hopefully with the blessing of he’s parents.

This mother and son duo always amaze me.. From MSP and mow Moonlight chicken, their characters are different. The affections, love, story everything but the bond somehow is the same, in both dramas they try to understand each other,differently but they do. I would love to see Fourth and her in other dramas as mother and son duo too.

8 capítulos no le hacen justicia a esta serie se me hizo tan corta pensé que tendría al menos como mínimo 10, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos se acabo al igual que con Never Let Me Go & My School President ¿y ahora que voy a ver? 😭😭 me ha encantado mucho el desarrollo de LiMing con su madre estoy muy tranquilo con eso y que todos los personajes hayan crecido y madurado todos merecen su final feliz ^^
I hope a lot of people discover this series, which tackles not just the lives of hot couples but also the daily lives of some people. I'm also hoping that this can be the best drama of the year. The storyline is a masterpiece. I can't deny the fact that this is my second BL drama that I can't skip 🫶
