    Depende, for me, I currently reside sa far flung province in BC
    Rent & utilities: $450/mo
    Grocery & toiletries: $300/mo
    Others: $100/mo
    All monthly exp: $850/mo
    Income as student: $1,100/mo
    Income if fulltime (40hrs job A, 12hrs job B): $3,000/mo+
    *Income posted pretty much after taxes na siya. Yung $16.75/hr kasi nasa $14.50/hr bagsak after taxes and deductions
    Gamer lang din ako kaya masmasaya akong nakakulong sa kwarto. I miss the food in the PH and family but yun lang namiss ko sa pinas.
    Still worth the move for me. Depende talaga sa tao

      Solid ng cost of living! That's very nice to be honest! I remember when we started nasa 1-2k mark lang ang col hehe. As we move our lifestyle up, mej lumaki narin COL.
      Im so happy for you! With your current lifestyle, as long as you enjoy it, just maintain it for a couple of years pa and you will achieve great heights dito sa Canada! Lalo pag ka graduate kana! :)

    For newcomers in Canada if you have relatives in Canada and can help you to start, it is a bonus. Pero kung wla and to start it will be difficult sa umpisa at mahirap first is the cost living #1 rental a one bedroom cost $1,850, 20 years ago ang rent is about $700. Kung maganda ang trabaho mo sa pinas like if you doctor, engineer, architect pag dating mo dito it will be hard to get it right away. Kasi yun credentials mo ay hindi recognize dito you will still upgrade your education and get board exam for doctors and engineers. Ang bahay sa Toronto is about 700k to 1mil...sa ibang province its more cheaper pero tumataas na rin. Like Calgary, Alberta, Manitoba. Pero sobra lamig. Pero na will mo yan para maka survive ka sa Canada..

    My two cents. Lived here in Canada for 18 yrs and I feel like living back home in the Philippines, only.
    1. You are away from your family and friends.
    2. Its freaking cold here.
    3. You don't have to pay for health care eg. a family member of mine has cancer & did not pay for the specialist, don't
    4. Cost of living is high depending on where you live. How you handle your finances in the Philippines will be the same here, Financial literacy is important.
    5. Canada is an even playing field, opportunities is everywhere, work or business. If you are new, you start as a fresh high school graduate. Also, kilala kilala din, referral is important. And you have to study again if you must.
    I really depends on your life priorities and plans, for me sulit pa rin mag Canada ngayon. Its a big sacrifice and hard at first. Buti nga ngayon may mga youtube video guides that helps you
    decide. samin dati wala. :) Thanks to Dreys videos.

      Wag u mg international students.. mahihirapan u tagapin Ng mga company yun Ang di sinasabi Ng mga agency. Pag international student ka allow u mg work Ng 20hrs pde mo pa nga isama pati Asawa mo eh at work cia kso Ang problems pag natapos na course mo bibigyan ka Nila Ng open work permit base sa Ilan taon Ang pinagaralan mo pang 1 yr yun pag aaral u Ng accountancy so extent ka Nila Ng 1 yr kso believe me mahihirapan u makahanap na company mag sponsor sau… para maging permanent ka dito. Kaya nga may pinipirmahan ang international student na naka nortaryo sa pinas at may tatak Ng Canadian immigration n after u mag aral.uuwe u…so halos Ang company dito ayaw nilang gumastos sa sponsor. Okay lang sana kung may kamag anak ka atleas db… ako kc lucky lang at may Tito kya libre Ko. Madami me nakilala at Indian pa di ma sponsor Ng inaapplyan Nila.. so yun dika ka pa nakakabawe sa nagastos mo mauubos visa mo.. hirap mapaliwanag dito… c kuya yun nag vlog Ilan taon palang sa Canada Ang mga Kilala Ko 40+ na… imagining mo Ang competensya mo madami Kaya at Bakit mag sponsor Ang company kung pde nmn sila kumuha ng graduate dito.

    • @DREYsCanadaVlog
      @DREYsCanadaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@maryangeles5679 this is a really nice input! Yes, yan ang risk lapag 1 year lang ang program kasi 1 year lang din extension mo. Kaya for international students, I always recommend getting a 2 year program para up to 3 yrs ang ibigay na work permit after grumaduate. 3 yrs to get experience is better than 1 year. But still, no guarantee for PR.
      Kaya sa mga aspiring students, alamin dapat natin pinapasok natin bago tayo mag desisyon.
      P.S. if you planned your student pathway correctly, there is a high chance na hindi mo kelangan ng mag sponsor sayo for work to get PR :) JUST PLAN PLAN PLAN :)
      Thanks Mary for pointing this out! Good reminder to our fellow kababayan!

      Hindi rin po depende sa status ng patients,sobra dami patient waiting sa emergency room,kagandahan lang sa canada kumpara sa pinas libre hospital pero pinas may bayad . mababa sahod mataas cost of living taas pa nv tax. kaya lumipat kami dto sa Australia. grateful parin kami sa canada dahil malaki rin naitulonv nila sa amin.

      I was 39 when we came to Canada, with husband and children 7 & 11 yrs old. No regrets. My husband took a 3 yr course at Centennial while i worked full time as Accountant (lucky to work in my line of profession). Tama si Drew, upgrade your skill & work your way up. I also agree na even in the current times na expensive lahat dito (Toronto kami) … it is still worth to come here. I and husband landed gov jobs (to those here in Canada, go for gov jobs). Children are both univ grads and has good job and house of their own. Everything is good, with determination and prayers.

      @dorisescopete8674 swerte po kayo kasi naka pag work po kayo agad as accountant pero hindi po lahat kasing swerte nyo (that was yrs & yrs ago for sure). Merong iba na 6 yrs na dito sa canada pero di pan rin PR hanggang ngayon. Mas advantage talaga kung couple kayo na pumunta dito at medyo challenging para sa mga single lalo na sa panahon ngayon. Sa mga gustong pumunta dito try lang kayo wala na man sa edad yan. Sinabi ko lang ng 30 yrs old and below para at the age of 35 ay canadian citizen na at wala proproblemahin sa mga applications.

      Tama ka, 22 yrs ago. Pero applicable pa din yong pinagdaanan namin sa panahon ngayon. Like, when we bought our first home, we felt na ang mahal kasi yong friend ko na bumili 7 yrs earlier ay mas mura ang bili nya. Although landed immigrant kami (not student visa), pero nag aral ang asawa ko. Na realize namin na hindi pwedeng pangmatagalan yong 2 small jobs nya (kahit napapagkasya naman ang sahod). Nag OSAP sya para makapag aral ng full time. Tyaga, sipag, budget, at dasal. Importante din na makipag kaibigan sa mga kapwa Pilipino para malagpasan ang homesickness; at may naitutulong din sila. In conclusion, opportunities and life in Canada is a lot better (than in the Philippines).

    best option talaga ngayon kuha ka ng remote work sa canada usa or europe tapos wag ka pupunta dun sabihin mo remote work ka lang. para ang cost of living mo ay pinas pero ang sweldo mo pang ibang bansa. not applicable for field work. napansin ko ganun ginagawa ng mga foreigner. dumadami ang pumupunta dito sa south east asia naninirahan sila dito pero yung work nila remote work sa bansa nila.

    • @munggo8644
      @munggo8644 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MsLacieable trust me mas magandang deal pag remote. ive been doing it for 6 years now at ang sweldo parehas lang din sa local sa canada. ang maganda pa pag remote work pwede ka kumuha ng multiple jobs basta kaya ng katawan mo. kaya tiba tiba. ilang beses na ako inoferan ng mga employer ko na mag in house sa canada pero tinatanggihan ko. dahil alam kong yang pag aabroad ay matandang kaisipan na at kailangan nang baguhin ngayong digital age.

      I guess its still worth it lalo na sa mga young generations na magpapamilya pa lang o yun may mga anak na toddler pa lang but for us na 50 yrs old na well nagdadalawang isip kami!😅 We just sent our son / sons sa Canada for college studies. Ive been there, visited my son . During my 75 days stayed there nakita ko yun struggles doon like weather, high cost of living etc… pero saan bang parte ng mundo walang struggles? Look at the positive things like healthcare, global education, better govt services infrastructure at job opportunities! Isipin nyo yan mga factors na yan kung meron sa bansang titirahan nyo for good!Ive been to Pinas din after my Canada vacation and doon mo ma appreciate anong meron sa Canada na wala sa Pinas and vice versa.Pinas lately mahal na din ang cost of living, kulelat sa educational standard,magulo ang sistema ng govt,traffic,poor healthcare,mataas na din ang crime rate as in paglumabas ka ng gate mo may mag snatch na ng cp o hand bag mo, congested,lumobo na ang utang ng bansa.
      I totally agree with you basta set aside your pride be humble and work hard para ma achieve mo yun goals at dreams mo.Focus lang and pray always!
      BTW we are OFWs or expat living abroad for 17 yrs already. During our younger years ganyan din kami nagsimula , may struggles pero masaya kami now kasi madaming mga positibong nadulot sa amin ang pagtatrabaho abroad . Unang unang mas malaki ang sweldo then much better ang cost of living here, better govt services kahit di kami citizen na makikita mo sa pagrenew mo ng driver license at iba pang govt offices , better infrastructure, mas peaceful na pamumuhay etc…
