ako i’m a nurse din dito sa australia… i’m planning to retire early sa future to continue the legacy na iniwan ng parents ko. siguro if saan ka my sense of purpose, maximise your potential and yung magagamit m talaga diskarte m sa business/life doon ka . kahit saan basta madiskarte you can survive. you can go back anytime dito naman. at least my option na. that’s my own opinion lang kase yan din gusto ko. masaya talaga kase sa pinas. iba parin yung HOME country! pwede naman balik2x lang if gusto m. dba?! if you have the resources and house na dito why not. it's not how much you earn but how much you save and invest for the future! ❤ Good luck to you kabayan! you can do it! mahigit 20 yrs na ako sa NSW. Australia is one of the best countries in the world.

You don’t have to believe in strangers in TH-cam. Suwerte lang ng mga nauna sa Australia because they had assets that make them money. Pag kakarating mo lang, talagang madugo. Akala ng mga nasa Pinas I am rich but it can only be further than the truth. Be careful with migration agent’s advice as their intention is to get money. Better ask regular people. Also consider that migration is very political. I wish I knew that when I started. Good luck. I wish I can save money so I can start a business back home.

@@laamistad1366 bro the cost of living and the rental crisis ang malala dito. Its best if you ask regular people here and not migration agents because agents will try to sell you the “Australian Dream” telling you this and that. Also be mindful how migration is very political so its not necessarily what is needed here, its what works for getting votes. If you are hellbent on getting permanency here, you have good chances if you become a very experienced nurse. Otherwise its going to be extremely challenging. All the best kabayan. I appreciate you asking. Just being completely transparent. This is how it is in Australia. Most shops at the mall close at 530PM heads up. Hahahaha

You don't need to leave Australia. You just need a second and even better third income stream. I learned right away when my parents moved our family to Canada that the single income household was over and that dual and even triple incomes are needed to be able to meet living requirements, purchase a house and retire comfortably.

  • @robocop581

I think you have too many vehicles since you live near the city center. Cars are well known as wealth killers. And why have such a large vehicle unless you use it for business. There's other holes in your budget that you can plug but I'm sure you're aware of that. While I may sound like a YOLO killjoy, every penny saved early in your career and while the kids are young should be invested aggressively. Make the compounding work for you in the second half of your career with the possibility of retiring early.

Malaking difference natin is lumaki na dalawang anak ko at nakakatulong na sila sa gastusin sa bahay though my 6yo pako, at ung student visa dati na kapatid ko and bayaw ko jan sa NSW, after long years of working hard night and day, sa wakas ay PR na sila and andito din sa NT. 2 years ago, my son was diagnosed of Stage 1 brain cancer, he was treated imediately and we didnt pay anything, as in nothing sa hospital including his follow up checks and monitoring nya till now. He is back to his normal life na. May sakit walang work, may allowance pa from the government including my other son who stood as his primary care taker. I won't complain, will never complain, sa lahat ng pagod and hirap ko sa Australia dahil its a blessing na nadito ako para sa buhay ng pamilya ko.

I think it depends on where you're located in the Philippines. If you're located in the Province life is more comfortable and if your job is into in demand wfh/remote work like digital marketing, freelancing and content creation you will be doing fine in Ph. What AU can offer are the opportunities for the young and a government benefits like healthcare that's missing in Ph.

    ALDI has lowest price options.
Compared prices of gas and electricity go for the cheapest alternative provider.

Everybody has their own stories to tell: First is to budget your money. For me we rented a unit near the train station and busses. We travelled by public transport for 2 years. We did not have a car. That saved us money for a house deposit. We did not have aircone, holidays, good times but focussed on owning a house since the rent is expensive. With food it's not to bad if you look for the sales. Also make a lists of stuff you want to buy so that you don't keep going back to the shops to save petrol. There are many things you can do to bring down your living expenses. However, I shared mine just to give you an idea because I love living here in Australia. It's one of the best place in the world. Hello kuya, You came to Australia too late, 15 years ago it was much cheaper then po. You're not spending your pera wisely. I'd be shopping at Aldi, & not going to expensive grocery shops, restaurants or buying take out but making more home made Pinoy food you learnt from your mom po. Australia has made many people lazy these days, always giving your hard earned pera away where you can do & should learn how to do things for yourself . Your a Pinoy!! po. Interesting story but you must step back & look at yourself as a young family, plan a budget & stick to it, Have a goal of where you want to be in 5 years time you can make it happen, Salamat Po. God Bless you Kuya & your family.

Hello kabayan. I agree that cost of living has gone through the roof and there are only 2 ways to deal with it, either you find a higher paying job or be very frugal, i.e., cut on unnecessay expenses. I suggest you do both. We've been there, and I'm sure you will also succeed someday. We are all in different seasons in life. Pray hard and work hard and smart. God bless!
    P.s.
You need to take the ratio of your expenses to your income, otherwise your expenses figures are irrelevant. You cannot improve what you cannot measure.

You are living a good life compare to others. You live an extravagant life in my opinion. I wash my own car. You don't need NETFLIX, DISNEY. You can live with real Aussie food and cheaper. I can keep going but then again, that's probably what you like.

🙏🙂 isama pa magandang healthcare at quality of life and safe ang lugar.

No, you should not use student visa as a means to enter Australia with the hope of eventually obtaining permanent residency, especially if you are from an economically disadvantaged country. It's important to understand that a student visa does not guarantee a pathway to residency. Foreign student visa is only for financially able people from foreign countries unless you are a government sponsored scholar or relative sponsored student, the tuition fee alone is too high for foreign student and the part time work would not pay much to pay for all your expenses. Some people through strong perseverance were able to make it that way but many international students really face financial difficulties. The situation is a lot worse now because Australia and the world is experiencing high inflation due to wars and oil sanctions. You can not complain of the high cost of living if you are on student visa, since it is not a visa for residency. It will really be very expensive to live in Australia as a foreign student. In my opinion student visa is a scam visa! Yeah you maybe have 3 cars all under financing loan which requires regular car maintenance that makes it a lot more expensive :-(

Nagmove ako dito sa Australia on my own 15 years ago to pursue my career. The best thing I did was to move in regional town kasi sobrang mura ng rent na tipong $150 per week lang I was able to live in $50 to $75 weekly for grocery budget.
Advice ko lang make a written budget. Dati nga nagbibike lang ako para tipid. Swerte ko lang kasi PR ako when I relocated here. I call Australia home now. Ganda ng healthcare system ng Australia. I’ve been to hospital emergency pero walang bayad.
