    I never comment but I just have to say that lots of people seem to have very strong opinions about where strangers should live. I say this as a naturalized US citizen with dual citizenship. Choices about residency and home base are unique to individual needs whether it’s a city or country. Every country or city has pros and cons and people may need different aspects at different times in their lives. My daughter Iives and works in South Korea. She loves some aspects of it but she also has compromised certain things by not being here. She knows that Korea is fine right now but she wants to own property, go back for graduate school and is not sure about raising her kids in a homogeneous society. Safety is important but there are other crucial factors to choosing a home base. Korea is safe but it hasn’t stopped people from getting raped, killed or committing suicide because some aspects of life are beyond our control. Yes, the US has greater issues with safety and guns but no one can guarantee me that random acts of violence wouldn’t occur in other countries. We all have opinions so I’m just stating that some comments come off too strong and almost suggesting the couple should have a preference of Korea over US; other states vs Washington; other cities vs Seattle. I trust Min & Jae to make the appropriate decisions for their family and have freedom to change their minds down the road if they want.

    I hope that America doesn’t ruin your marriage. Jae seems to always be managing the relationship and the conversation. Min doesn’t seem to have much say in the relationship but it could just be the way the videos go. I do wish you the best and hope that you find something bigger to believe in for strength and comfort. ❤

    • @PurpleFlowerwork
      @PurpleFlowerwork 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think it's a cultural difference, Min has say in the relationship, but he does not feel the need to prove it. When he has something interesting or valuable to add to the conversation, he does. He does not just speak to hear his own voice which is what a lot of Western men do. In black culture, a man being assertive looks different. Asian men in general know how to lead with their actions not just talking.

    I have to say I think it is brave to want to live in the US at this time! I am an American who has left the US long ago and returning now would seem scary if you follow the news! It just seems just crazy there, although of course I am aware it depends on where you live.

    • @PurpleFlowerwork
      @PurpleFlowerwork 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It is crazy here; I would not recommend lol. It has become a God-less (moral less) country, so the mentality and behavior of the people is terrible. It is a blessing just to find genuine, stable, and kind people here.

    • @MINJAE1
      @MINJAE1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      I agree - Jae
      America is not the best place, but neither is Korea, there are many culture aspects that can make people very mentally unhealthy, I mean, just think, Koreans aren’t even having children, the birth rate is so low. So we choose to pick the best of both worlds. In America we can make the proper income to support a life style in both countries, Korea’s salary could never. Like we said, you take the best of both cultures and put them together.

    • @henrimbedi1139
      @henrimbedi1139 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      They capping. I live in the u.s and it’s just fine. You find trouble where you look for trouble. If you just mind your own business and do just you. No one will disturb you. One thing about the u.s is their income. Income is good enough for you to enjoy a more comfortable life than if you lived somewhere else. Stayed in turkey and I can tell you their income is terrible. Again depends where you live. Can’t say the same if you lived in New York or California, prices over there is insane

      After finding out just how safe South Korea is, it makes me want to move there instead of here in the US but everywhere has its problems. I’m sure if I moved to South Korea because it’s safer, I’d actually miss the US. But there are just so many problems here. The crime is so bad here, even where I live. I am always so scared to go outside because I’m afraid I’m going to get killed

    Some people have a marriage based on structure--family and extended family, societal norms, mores and traditions--that provide the foundation for their relationship. I feel you and Min have that but you have so much more. There is a golden thread between the two of you and if someone tried to pry you two apart with a crowbar that thread would snap you two back together. It is so rare to see such a connection and it is beautiful. Everything has been so serious with the wedding that I forgot how funny you guys are. I saw a bit of that today and, like Min, I wish there was a camera to capture all the funny moments because you two can be hilarious. There is such joy in your relationship and such a commitment to grow (which reminds me of the ham and egg breakfast, the chicken was involved but the pig was committed). Since you are not religious, I will pray for you guys. I will pray for blessings on you this new year and that your marriage is blessed and that every good thing you two put your hands to this year will be blessed and that God will keep you in safety and providence. You are a special couple and have become dear to my heart like extended family. Thank you for sharing your life with us. P.S. If you want to watch a really fun reality show on Netflix, check out "Love like a Kdrama" with Japanese actresses and Korean actors. I thought it was pretty amazing and I generally don't like reality shows. Happy New Year, guys and much, much love.

    I don’t usually comment on anyone. If you both enjoy driving and traveling and mixing pleasures with business would truck driving as a profession and turning into business at the same time. But there will be some sacrifices, that sacrifice is you will need at least one year of truck driving experience with a major company. They will train you but you will have to sign a contract with them for at least eight months so that you don’t have to pay them for the training. Then there’s the salary the first year will be struggling. After the first year of experience you can expect to make at least $4000 per month per driver. Then if you decide to make it a business then you will need to be an over the roads driver for at least three years in order for an insurance to accept you. I started with one truck that was 15 years ago. I now own 85 trucks with 67 drivers.

I saw on tiktok this American Korean lady moved to South Korea and mentioned that Koreans aren't haven't kids bc it is too expensive to raise kids and the population isn't growing and the government will pay married people to have children, $26k per child, not sure in Korean money or usd.

    But why Koreans don't wanna sit next to foreigners on the bus. When they see it's a foreigner sitting next to them their facial expression change, or they prefer to stand even if the seat is empty. So, Min I wouldn't say Korea is happy with foreigners.

    • @PurpleFlowerwork
      @PurpleFlowerwork 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are worried about Koreans not wanting to sit next to foreigners on the bus when Asians have been physically attacked, verbally abused, and murdered for the last 3 years in America. When Asians have been treated poorly, robbed and kicked out of places because they "Caused covid-19". You do not get to generalize an entire country of people based on whatever dumb post you watched from a bias platform.

Make short videos like 10 min maybe in 2 part if needed, people will be consistent to watch more your videos. You can inspire on Aisha ba videos.
