Keeping a sketchbook is part of how you 'find' your art style: th-cam.com/video/C_RlHf2ejbs/w-d-xo.html

I absolutely agree with the talent statement! It’s not just art, it applies to all fields.

I have a few sketchbooks too. I bought a new one today. Today I spent the most money on a sketchbook that I ever have on any other sketchbook. This time when I create an art piece on this new sketchbook, I am going to mean it.

And then you can call it an art book!

This was so motivational! I am in love with your work and your words of encouragement are definitely pushing me to try new things, as my current painting is coming to an end. Thanks plenty! ✨✨✨

You are so right! ++ Practice = ++ Progress. I also have several sketchbok: on firdry media, pencils, graphite, another to test stuff in wetcmedia, another one for wax pstels or oftvpastels ( i made i using Cnson MiTEints paper + Liquitex clear gesso for texture). I also have a couple of small quare ones ( Royal Alens Art Creation) to tke on the go. These work well for pencils, ink, light washes and gouache. I crnge when I see old sketchbooks...but this makes me appreciate the effort and progress. Thank you Cecile!!!

Nah talent is real, some people are born better at certain things then others, it's a fact and it's strange to say it's not real. It has nothing to do with time.

I personally think that no one comes naturally talented, being art or sport or anything else. You come with a natural love for something, so when you practice it doesn't feel like work but like pleasure and joy. This way you may think you're not working, but actually you are. I've seen that numerous times around me, including for myself.
