It's an underated unit that has worked amazing for the past year and a half of owning it. It's also crazy to think its been out since 2016, they should make a 2nd gen one.
Hi there. I am a dewalt guy. I just purchased one of this for $350 on ebay, I'll be using it to power my tv, router and surveillance system for couple of hrs. We experiment power outage every now and then. I do have a generator for for longer periods of power outage.
Don’t use the Dewalt unit for sensitive electronics. It produces a “modified sign wave” that will damage things like computers or electronics. It is meant for tools and electric motors, not electronics.
Wish I could tell you but I would go with whatever you already have for Batteries that might be a deciding factor. I haven’t used the Milwaukee enough yet to say it’s better then the dewalt. Good luck 🍀
The DC motors like running on battery packs a lot better. I like Milwaukee, switches over a few years back because they offered the 3/8th rachet, DeWalt finally put one out this year.
I think the milwaukee your referring to is the mx fuel which is a totally different battery platform for light equipment tools not regular power tools cuz yes that 1 is extremely expensive. And your 4 dewalt 12ah can match the mx fuel capacity and run time wise since that 1 can only takr 2 batteries although you only need 1 to run it. They now have am m18 that came out not too long ago that takes 4 battery packs jus like the dewalt but is still pricey at 700 for jus the powerstation and no batteries. It is a pure sine wave vs a modified sine wave of the dewalt but from all your videos the dewalt seems to work great regardless. I recently got my dewalt one for a great price myself as "used" off ebay. Glad to hear it works great with the door operators
You need to research EcoFlow. I bought the Mini. It give me almost 900whr of store power. Has 110 outlets and USB outlets. Has a digital display that let's you know how much power is being use and how much you still have. It can be recharge very quick. 80% in one hour. I let my daughter use it when she loses power. I hookup her laptop, cell phone and an ext cord for the router. She works from home. This model works for me. 26 lbs
Great, but it's a one trick pony in the construction world. 1. Can it charge DeWALT 20V batteries directly? 2. Can it charge four DeWALT batteries all at the same time? 3. Can it stack and lock down to a DeWALT TOUGHSYSTEM stack? The EcoFlow Mini is currently on sale for $749USD but it ONLY puts out 1400W which makes it pretty limited for most corded 15amp heavy duty tools. EcoFlow makes great stuff but the DELTA mini just won't cut it for construction use if you're trying to cut down on carrying more stuff with a single use.
I've got 2 15ah flexvolt batteries already and wanting a powerststion...tell me again it will be worth the buy...I'm kind of committed already with 2 spendy ass batteries
Would do great with the 15ah. Jus got a powerstation the other day and drilled 36 holes in a 1/2" thick steel headers with concrete above with a 1200 watt mag drill and the 1 15ah i had on there was 3 bars almost til the end. Dropped to 2 bars a few holes b4
Be careful with using that Dewalt unit with electronics. It produces a modified sign wave which is “dirty power”. It is fine for tools and electric motors but will damage things like computers or phones. To power those you should use something that generates a “pure sign wave” like the Milwaukee unit.
I'm glad that Milwaukee got you fixed up. It seems like it really depends more on what kind of tools you have in my opinion. I have corded Milwaukee tools. All of my cordless stuff is Dewalt. Dewalt and Milwaukee tools are about the same pound for pound. They're both high end consumer tools made by the same company and probably in the same factory. If I'm going to buy a pile of batteries I want them to work on everything I have. That is why I wouldn't buy a Milwaukee cordless circular saw even though I have a corded one that has done really well. I'm not saying the Dewalt is necessarily a better saw. It's a logistical problem. Why carry two sets of batteries and chargers to a job? A major appeal to me is being able to charge 4 batteries at the same time with one unit/one outlet. Dewalt makes a 4 port rapid charger but it costs $239 on Amazon. I can get the Power Station for $410. Worth it? Seems like.
Fantastic video my friend! You’re speaking to my heart because portable power stations and being able to supply a battery powered source for job sites is my jam! Now you see my videos and I happen to be a little bit more partial to the portable power stations from companies like Eco flow and Anker. The beef that I get sometimes with those videos is a lot of people want to see how they can be pushed to their limits. And in my professional opinion I believe these products or solutions should be for temporary use. Specifically to power like you said in your video The limit settings and the force settings. At any rate I think what you have in that Dewalt is pretty solid because their batteries offer a little bit more voltage. Of course it’s the load that you want to kind of focus on because sure any battery powered solution can power the device but can you get it to work on a heavy insulated garage door. I’d love to continue this conversation because I think they’re mini contractors within the garage door space that do not see the potential of a portable power station.

You can buy a pure sine wave adapter to keep your equipment from frying.
There’s a 2nd generation Milwaukee that stays on longer than 60min. The first gen shuts off as a “safety feature”. It’s cool you got one, tho.
Have you ever had a issue where the ah button stopped working? It still takes charge but the 15 ah button won't cut on.
Is not sine wave I only use it for garage door and power tools. I have ego for more electronics sensitive equipment.
How dod they compare?
I still like the Dewalt better then my Milwaukee. That’s just my opinion.
I like your Milwaukee..even tho I have the Dewalt power station. I’m curious to see how it performs
Now I’m on the fence! Milwaukee or Dewalt????

Milwaukee is pure sine wave, DeWalt is not.
The DeWalt may fry your electronics while the Milwaukee will not.

I stayed till the end I like your headlamp

What Amp hour batterries are you using,, I would love to see what the new 15amp hour Batts would do

Milwaukee one is great too but I have way more dewalt batteries….

As always my friend you are a wealth of knowledge👍👍👍
I like the Milwaukee
You made it 2 the end lol
I like my Dewalt
Dewalt sure is nice. I love mine.
I like your Milwaukee 🤢. DeWalt is for me.
