@@nalanidejesus If the card was issued earlier than I believe like a month ago, it will still be a visa card, and will still work. Only cards issued more recently have been a mastercard ( hence wont work at a costco )

We just got this card because my wife couldn't get approved for the Venture X. It's not entirely bad. Yes you can't use this at Costco anymore. But now that it's a MC World Elite, it comes with some trip protections.

Do you do it all on miles are find yourself book one ticket with miles snd the other with cash! I’m use to round trip flights so direct flights are new to mile along with the miles system!
I am deciding between venture and venture x. Do you think it would make more sense to just get a venture for right now and then upgrade or reapply for the venture x in a year or so? I like the benefits of venture x more and can see myself holding on to the card but this venture offer feels too good to pass on especially because the additional lounge benefit that id get with the venturex, wont apply until 2025 as i can use the venture for the 1-2 flights i have planned in 2024 while that benefit still exists. Would appreciate your thoughts!
great review. wouldn't the Venture One be the entry level travel card for Capital One. The Venture One has No Annual Fee. Also allows access to Capital One's travel portal and can convert Savor One cash to miles.
Does C1 have 5/24 like rules? I applied and was told no based on my usage and or like applications in 24 months. I have the VX and have had 3 new cards in the last 2 years, with the 3rd being the CSP 2 months ago.
i have Venture X. Can I sign up for the Venture, get the bonus, use the points and $250 credit and then cancel the card after I burn the bonus? I don't need both ill keep the X

You can but if you do get the venture then its recommended you wait a year to upgrade to the venture x. But by upgrading you won't get the bonus. what i would do would be to get the venture now with the higher bonus. wait 12 months and if the venture x has a higher bonus apply for the card, then later cancel the venture. Just my two cents!
Yup that’s correct , I mention that in the video the lounge benefit for the Venture is going away at the end of 2024 or worded differently the benefit will not be available in 2025

It's a soft two personal card limit so ymmv. There are data points of people have more than two personal credit card with capital one and there data points of people being denied.
If anyone is wondering I yolod and applied and got it. I had a savor one that was a PC from a quicksilver that was a PC from a Platinuim. I also had a venture x that I got in December.

A Small correction: The Venture was recently converted to a Mastercard. Hence it wont work at Costco in the US.

You can still use MasterCard on Costco.com or the app!
It does work at costco in the US. I use mine everytime I shop there

I received my card 3 days ago on 7/13. I called them yesterday and escalate to a supervisor but she won't budge.
😕 ohhh no that sucks. Unfortunately I haven't seen any positive data points on Capital One matching to a higher bonus.

I just wish they added a yearly travel portal credit (like CSP) so it can be a low RAF keeper card :/

They tend to deny people with good credit. Capital ones big rule is 1 capital one card every 6 months.

Can the annual travel credit of VentureX ($300) and this card ($250) be merged?
My assumption is yes! I have the venture X and venture X business and both of those credits show up combined in the capital one travel portal for me
