This was her earliest band for her first album. The guitarist O Martin, and the support singer Selma Stang ended up getting married. Her drummer, Magnus, was with her the longest, he only left for his own career finally this year. Aurora is involved in all aspects of her music. She's the primary songwriter, although she has collaborated with other artists to write songs, Magnus was always her primary producer, but she has worked with other producers and she always has her hands in the production because she has such a firm (stubborn even) idea of how she wants her music to sound. Check out the documentary "Once Aurora" to get an idea of how single-minded she can be in her musical vision.
Thanks for doing this. As said before, this song was not one she liked to perform. She felt as if it was a copy-paste of everything she didnt care for in the music industry. In time, she grew to accept the song. I like the video, but AURORA live is fantastic! This was her band for quite some time. I know Magnus (drummer and vocals) and the back up singer are no longer with her but her and Magnus remain really close friends and I wouldnt be surprised to see them together in future performances.
Aurora has two older sisters, Miranda is her make up artist (Aurora says she does not like people touching her face but she trusts Miranda) and Viktoria (who has her own fashion label) works with Aurora on her stage outfits. The only time Aurora has worked with musicians that she did not know before hand was for the performance of "Warrior" in the HAIK documentary. That amazing performance was done with about an hour of rehearsal, for an audience of three (two very lucky, surprised fans and the host of the documentary). It, like the concert at the end of the documentary, is pure magic, as you saw when you did "The Seed" a few months ago. As for songwriting, Aurora writes with a range of different people but the lyrics are usually hers. Many years ago, some recording companies treated songwriting as a production line. In New York, there was the Brill Building where each songwriter or team had an office and basically worked 9-5. The building also house record company offices and recording studios. Very successful artists such as Neil Sedaka, Carole King and Neil Diamond were songwriters in this system before they became performers of their own material in their own right.
There are times when she is so "in" her song that the real world is largely blocked from her. There are others when she is having fun and responding to the audience, this was one.
She creates songs, lyrics but also is involved in production. And she had band, but persons changed with time (they pursued their individual careers etc). And so far all from her band was great:). Odd Martin (guitarist) left longer time ago, Selma (support singer) also. Then there was great Silja Sol who also left already. Magnus drummer was from to the start up to recently and was also involved a lot in production (and it was saddest for me as she was from very start and i think he was closest with Aurora - I mean friendship). it is also cool that all of her band make harmonies with her in some songs/performances. Of course there are other persons like Fredrik Svabo (still in band), Amalie Holt Kleive (you can check them f.e. in Vivo live performance of Exhale Inhale. And others ppl who cooperates.
Aurora did not like this one for several years. She found it a bit to commercial and felt she was pushed to give it out. However now as older she is considering to sing it occasions again 😎❤️🇧🇻 I myself love it.❤️🇧🇻
Nice 🤗 With this song I prefer the live performance at Jimmy Fallon, amazing, but this live performance is great too😍😍 You don’t have to be a great dancer, but she is😊 She has her own band, and she co produces her songs as well. I recommend watching “Once Aurora”👍👍 Aurora didn’t like to perform this song, it became everything she hated with the music industry. If you watch the documentary “Once Aurora” you’ll understand 😊 About three years ago she said she didn’t hate the song anymore 👍 You’re right in your interpretation 😊 "Conqueror is about a world is kind of falling apart around you, and you're looking for a conqueror to save you. But you're looking for the conqueror in someone else, which I think is you should not do. You should find the conqueror in yourself first, and be your own hero. If you stand strong, then you will stand for a bit longer." AURORA Could you please react to: “Soft Universe” live from Nidarosdomen 👍😍
I can't put my finger on it (can't be just looks), but you persistently remind me of Elin Kaaven, a Sami singer/dancer from a famous shaman family in Norway. She's nowhere near Aurora-level and will generate you no views by itself (as a reaction), but maybe it's of interest otherwise/anyway? th-cam.com/video/dxkeAJecrWQ/w-d-xo.html (music-video)
Looks like we have a similar energy. She gave off a mysterious, playful, coy energy and I like to give that off as well. Looks like we have similar eye color too. Maybe that is where I got my eye color from! My eyes are a hazel green and I was surprised to find out that I have a small percentage of Norwegian blood.
@@bellastarreacts I hadn't noticed the eye color, not consciously at least, but I agree about the energy. Interesting with heritage, It's possible hazel is more common among Sami, than other Norwegians, but I'm not sure. Btw, if you want to react to Sami-music, I'd suggest Mari Boine - Gula Gula: th-cam.com/video/bLhmmChzkl0/w-d-xo.html
Aurora is amazing
Aurora in concert is amazing
