this is the best backing track on youtube for my wife's flute, thank you
Muy bueno amigos!!! Slowly for study and good taste!!! Gracias!!!
I can’t comprehend why everyone plays this in key of F. All the recordings from the 60’s Astrud sings it in E flat. Every one I can find anyway. But you try to look up chord charts for this and it is always in F. Maybe most singers or players find it easier a half step up, I don’t know what im missing here. I am not busting on your video. It’s very well done. Quality work! Just wondering why really. Any other musicians ever notice this?

Hi James, check out this video. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched it, but I remember Adam Neely talking about that. Skip to 6:35 in the video
FINALLY, someone that notices the same thing.
Agreed, if you listen to the original version by Tom and Getz, you simply can't miss that. I think people just want to avoid the hassle of tuning down to E flat, especially if you're playing this at jams as a standard!
E flat can be a bit awkward on guitar....!!!!!
Muy buenos backing Track. Muy utiles.
I learned it in Db with out the tritone subs that through me off and lydian dominant is still new to me but it was fun I squeezed pretty good lines out of it
that feeling when you understood this.
Coming back when I understand this
@@rigby237
my english is kinda shitty but i'll try to help you
• tritone subs :
replacing a dominant seventh chord by an other dominant seventh chord a tritone apart.
so, for exemple, playing Db7 instead of G7, in C (it works quite well because B [or Cb for Db7] and F are in both chords. In Db7, Cb [or B if you prefer] is the seventh and F the major third, whereas in G7, B is the third, and F the seventh. Both of these notes really want to resolve on C and E, so a C major chord. That's why this subsititions works so well.)
• lydian dominant :
Lydian scale (which is basically major with a sharp fourth) but with a flattened seventh. So, in F for exemple : F G A B C D Eb
this thing is useful when you want to solo over a dominant seventh chord with #11 in it. For exemple, if you hear a G7#11 chord (G B F C#), you can play G lydian dominant over it (G A B C# D E F) and it'll work quite well.
hope i could help
@@Titanox237 bro literally explained this lol XD what a legend
Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walkin'
And when she passes, each one she passes goes, ah
When she walks, she's like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes, each one she passes goes, ah
Ohh, but I watch her so sadly
How can I tell her I love her?
Yes I would give his heart gladly
But each day, when she walks to the sea
She looks straight ahead, not at him
Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walkin'
And when she passes, I smile but she doesn't see
Ohh, but I see her so sadly
How can I tell her I love her?
Yes I would give his heart gladly
But each day, when she walks to the sea
She looks straight ahead, not at him
Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walkin'
And when she passes, I smile but she doesn't see
She just doesn't see, no she doesn't see
But she doesn't see, she doesn't see
No, she doesn't see
eu queria a versao em portugues
Super géniale pour ce qui font de la guitare, dans mon cas je dois faire la mélodie,... super continué
Olha que coisa mais linda
Mais cheia de graça
É ela menina
Que vem e que passa
No doce balanço, a caminho do mar
Moça do corpo dourado
RIP Astrud 🕊️❤️
Muy bueno
vai, belho o tema, mais ainda pouco tempo, saludacoes galera¡¡
Super !! Avec quel logiciel crées-tu les vidéos ?
Merci !
You are the best. Do you play bass on your backing tracks?
Il y a combien de bpm stp
is this out of tune or its my head?!
Yeah it's a bit sharp. I noticed it too.
This one is in concert F, which is a little sharper than the original but most of the arrangements people make for it are in concert F
Different key
out of tune
The og is out of tune
The Gb7#11 chord is actually played with a #6 and not a 7 from what I hear in the track. Is this the right way to play this chord? With a #6 rather than a 7th? Let me know if anybody got a clue 😂 i’m trying to learn something from this so just curious if my thinking is correct and just spotted an error or can this be explained in another way?
Hi! This chord is a hidden C7 : you can play it with a whole bunch of different embelisshements, including #5.
Alright, thanks. I think I’m starting to get the hang of it 🙏😅
things were going great until i got to that beautiful Gb7#11 chord. i guess my theory skills are lacking... nice video though
read jazz books!
lydien b7
You can interpret as a preparation to fmaj
An easy way to think about it (for beginners): just play F minor pentatonic over the Gb7#11, maybe add the b6 (Db) later, but avoid the Gb.
I just treat it as C7 altered
Hallo..
Can you explain to me.. What the meaning from percent symbol.. Thanks..
Repeat the previous chord in that bar.
I have your permission for make a cover vocal-performing on that backin track?
Yes ! As long as you write my channel as credits, and maake no profits with the video :-)
@@guitareimprovisation : Ok!🤙🏽✌🏽😁🎵🎼🎶
Put it on 1.5 and it sounds like elevator music!
sorry I'm lost, the original key is different, isn't it? i'm reffering me to the stan getz version
yes, and the chords themselves ain't right
The Stan Getz version is in B flat major this is in F major
Jobim wrote it in F, as I've se4en in his Songbook
what key?
F
the Am7 in den middle part is a substitute for Fmaj7, even the melody note is a bb --- the Am9 (with the b natural) sounds all wrong !
Where did you get that idea ? João Gilberto plays Am7 (Fm7 in its key) in the version with Gets. Also, I don't play Am9 but Am11.
eu achei q ia ser funk skskskskks
ㅎ
false bridge
Whats wrong with it?
Bollocks. Bridge is spot on.
