Hi Steve, nice to see a fellow UK seller/YTuber. Yes ebay has been a crazy ride this week. I think that alot of back office coding changes has affected the visibility of alot of items this week on the back of the free fees listing that been going on. It will settle in time hopefully quicker rather than later. Regarding the campaign. Yes if it offsite promoted campaigns they can take a couple of week to settle and get past the "learning phase" but if you refering to standard on site promoting that will settle in within 24-48 hrs. Keep up the great work :)
Hope sales pick up for you soon mate . I haven’t switched my account on it’s on holiday mode . After then it’s full steam ahead list like a crazy man😂 . Enjoyed watching buddy
As soon as 'free to sell' was implemented I'm shifting the lowest amount ever. They failed trying to get people to pay more for promoted sales. But now it's free? If you don't PTP they'll just give you virtually zero exposure. Can't wait to get away from them.
Oh also, last week's old £133 of rolls of rain and viscose I got out if a skip on vinted. Today sokd a coat fir £45 a dog coat for £5 somebody gave me, a bundle of beauty items that cost around 2 quid for £10.50 then there's 1xmoee thibg I can't remember ut I also have a printer to pick up for my tiktok ship which is also a lot of hard work and a lot of gri d for like no sales. I am a hunting I've targets but getting g sales is so hard on tiktok. From yesterday I also going to stat doing some TH-cam tutorials so been recording clips. Will see how it goes.😊
It doesn't matter what you sell, if people aren't buying it isn't ebays fault. They dont make people buy stuff. Nothing has changed for business sellers. Private sellers are benefiting at the moment as there isn't any selling fees. This will change I'm sure. I've not sold a ton of stuff recently but i do have 300 items listed
@@proud_to_be_a_ted I know what you’re saying but sales dropped off a cliff which is very unusual and it coincided with when eBay gave free sales to private sellers. I’ve got almost 900 items listed so for sales to drop like that it’s quite unusual. It could have been my change in promoted listings but a lot of people have also reported the same thing so who knows.
I’ve just gone to browse through categories and found the page layout is different, can’t work out if they’ve changed it or it’s my tablet, but it’s awful.
It has definitely been quiet sales-wise on eBay over the past few days. I'm assuming it's just the sheer volume of stuff being listed due to the current no-fees marketing drive.
That might be something to do with it but I’m not totally sure. Tons of people have said the same with their sales so I think eBay has been tinkering with stuff.
October has always been a slow month as people are skint after the summer holidays. However, for me, October has been rather busy on ebay. First year it has????
Can I ask how you get your stock to sell on eBay? I haven't sold on eBay for years. Too much aggro with people scamming, and don't get me talking about PayPal...
@@Jack_Warner various places really. Carboot sales, charity shops but the vast majority I’ve picked up for free. Check out my others videos though to hopefully get a better idea. 😊👍🏻
@@SteveSpendsaPenny I used to frequent a lot of Record Fairs, in the 1980s. I often saw dealers at these fairs, selling stuff they'd picked up from Car Boot sales for 10p and selling them for a fiver.
@@SteveSpendsaPenny My sales have come back this evening thank god, 5 sales today so far, ebay making changes sometimes disrupts sales, as was the case last week
People bracing themselves for the upcoming budget and rising energy costs. The money does not f=go so far now.
Could be playing a part but I don’t think it’s a huge part as it kind of fell off a cliff.
Generally I think most people don't care about the budget. Food costs are certainly a factor.

I've seen a lot of people saying that eBay sales have been slow recently. Also that joke was disgraceful. Keep up the good work enjoying the videos

Good luck with it all. That’s a lot of stuff to work on. 😊
That's kids for you lol
OK I signed up I am a Ltd company it declined I contacted they said teething problems
There seems to be a lot of those “teething problems” 🤦🏻♂️
Only buy on eBay never sell anymore 3 reasons why 1. sellers can’t leave negative feedback 2.can’t be payed into PayPal anymore , 3. Fees are to high
Spot on
So, out of interest, where do you sell then?
Looks like you're getting some decent prices there. Well done.
@@LookingForLloyd thank you!

@@elizabethlovelock9613 I hadn’t noticed that but they’ve probably changed it. They’re always making little tweaks which aren’t really necessary.
Shipping is just too expensive on EBay, most people want the cheapest, economical, but only one choice is given, the most expensive.
You’re probably right to a certain extent however sales had previously been fine and I hadn’t changed my postage prices suddenly.

@@SteveSpendsaPennyyep. Whenever ebay fuck around with the site sales dive. There's a pattern.
Also there was an Amazon prime special discount thing at the start of the week so I imagine people were using that a lot instead of eBay. 🤷
Me and another part time reseller I know haven’t sold a single item on buy it now since last Tuesday (I sold one on bids this Sunday).
It’s very strange! Some people somewhere must be selling some stuff, surely!

Hi Steve, good day to you, i have only sold 12 orders since past 8 days, how many sales have you had in last week ?
More than that but still not many compared to my usual. I’m not sure how many though to be honest
