Other than some minor QC issues has your experience with it been good? I’m considering getting their *70 W* module version, but want to hear non-sponsor type takes on it. I just see it has all the features and *no V-Rollers* also to an extent that screen. That screen that useful in your experience? Either way I’m rambling a bit, and no pressure, but yeah I’d love to know what you think about it.
Hey Eric. Appreciate the watch. So far so good with some minor issues. The red alignment laser was askew which I made a video about how to fix it. I had a screw fall out of the Z axis a few weeks ago. Beyond that the only thing I’ve noticed that is annoying is my home position is often a mm or two out after powering off from the time before making my grid off. I’m thinking I might need to tension a belt for that though. Just haven’t gotten around to it. One thing to note if you use the red alignment laser the usable area will be 410x360 to use it properly. The screen is useless as I only use lightburn and the magnets on it suck. Lastly the fast setting can be a little rough with fine details, the medium setting is very nice but I was never able to get any feedback from ikier what settings to put in lightburn to get a proper preview time. When I do medium I typically add about 25% to the time. All in all would I buy it again? Probably. It cuts very nice, engravings have been good as well on wood and slate. Can do a slate 4inch tile in about 3 minutes. I did see a Neje Max 4 last night that has peaked my interest. Wider footprint, 80w output (do like the idea of the combo on the ikier though), and still a motorized Z axis which i like. Not sure if it has autofocus though which is awesome on the ikier.
Great video. I have a Atezr L2 35 w laser and it looks almost identical. I wonder if it would fit? I’m also guessing that the 757 in your name means Hampton Roads? Again, great video and great information. Thanks
Hey Gene. Haven’t had anyone test it yet and tell me but it does appear like it would. I’d have to look at the hole spacing on the fusion file but I think it was like 50mm from center on the two holes. And yeah from Hampton Roads. Appreciate the watch.
Hi, your tips and your videos are very good. Unfortunately, I also had problems with my MacBook (M1) and thought it was because of that or just USB-C. Then I went on a search and lo and behold, a HUB was the solution and then it worked with the setting GRBL-3 in device. What if I had contact with iKier and they always sent me a new driver that I was supposed to install, but it didn't work either because I couldn't find a driver in the device menus that was supposed to work, so I tried it out and then a hub interposed. Now it works! Now I just have to find someone who will print out your blocks for me. Will keep watching your tips, thanks - Wolfgang (..from Germany)
Yeah I don’t know why the Mac has such an issue directly connecting. The hub seems to be the solution for it from what most people have said. Appreciate the view and the subscribe!
@@757woodworks ..yes, the Mac is somehow always neglected and I have already exchanged a few emails with iKier this week about this connection problem. The support sent me a lot of drivers, but none of them brought anything, so I also tried this variant and lo and behold, it works. We don't want more, although it would be nice to have this connection immediately without a hub. - New accessories are available for these alignments on the iKiers site, which seem to be quite ok
Maybe 3D print a screw hole tab onto you securing pads that produde just enough to get a holding screw in, remove the frame then add the primary screws, make it so you can snap off the holding (set up screw) screw if desired great idea and a great video! Thanks
The frame is pretty wide. Definitely could’ve bumped out a tab but would’ve been a much longer print. Appreciate the idea though as it would make them reusable as right now it’s a one and done since I glued them to the board. May revisit that down the road whenever I replace the spoilboard.
No worries its always great to get input - even if it is not always the best (LOL) I am just getting ready to order my iKier Laser 24w module...@@757woodworks
Hey there. Unfortunately I’m not selling them but the file is free. A lot of libraries have 3d printers these days. Possibly check there or one of the 3d printing services online.
I love the feet but do not have a 3D printer. Anyway you can make some for me? I would pay of course. Or do you know where I can buy something like this online? Thanks.
Thank you for the watch. I don’t sell them unfortunately but I did make the file free. I know a lot of libraries around me have printers these days. If you can’t find something local there are services like shapeways that could do it as well.
Hey thanks for sharing the 3D stl and the overall setup. Are you able to create a similar 3D stl for the feet you made for the Atomstack A20 Pro? Ideally something that screws on to the wasteboard and allows the (round) feet you created to sit within it?
Unfortunately I don’t have an A20 to model off of so I probably wouldn’t be able to make that work I don’t think. I will say if you wanted to try it the basic steps to make this in fusion were very simple and I’d definitely consider myself an amateur in fusion.
Great idea with the printed feet. I saw another Ikier user print covers for the holes in the side rails. I'm still new to lightburn, and have had problems with my Ikier 36W flying to the edge of the work area after a print, or if I rerun a print without backing out of the engrave menu. Have you had any issues with yours? Look forward to more videos!
I saw those covers as well. With my machine being in my shop I plan on doing them soon to help minimize sawdust in it. As for any issues, I did have some quality control issues with the machine which were easy to fix. I do notice after the burn is done it is important to home the machine or it’ll crash into its side rails if I start another burn without doing that. Thank you for the watch!
I had some issues too unfortunately. Had to reinstall the drivers several times. I never did get the usb C to work. Ended up using a usb C hub so I could use the regular usb plug.
@@757woodworks which drivers do you install and which hub do you use? I had the same problem. At the moment it works only with my mac from mid 2012. thx and greetz from germany
I'm not at home atm but I used the drivers that were on the usb drive. I believe they were the CH341 drivers. I did have to reinstall it several times in addition to the hub. The hub I'm using is the Sabrent 9 in 1 USB C Hub. I haven't used any of the other ports besides the one USB A port so can't say much on it's performance other than it works for the ikier. Here is the link - amzn.to/3PFWTxQ
Well, I printed the feet only to realize that do not work with the Ikier Pro Max. Well, guess I got a 3D printer. Thats OK, I can use it for other projects.
@@757woodworks It wasn’t too bad. I always use MDF the the piece to fit inside of the legs so it can be raised or lowered. I’ll wait until I install the Extended Rails.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear that. The Max wasn’t out yet when I did this but I’m surprised they changed the feet. :/
It’s ok. There are still holes in the frame, they are just smaller.
*There are Holes in each legs, just screw it Down.*
You’ve got about an inch of clearance to get a screw and a screw driver in there. Plus I can take mine off and move it and place it right back.
