Keep in mind, the 70D will only output a 480p video via the HDMI connection. I forgot the exact resolution it spits out, but it is not the same 1080 video that it records.

You dont put it on record and turn off the function where it goes to sleep. If you record itll only go for 30 mins and is impssoble to surpress. Thats why capture card is good
