- Are you looking for the best countries to live in Asia? Look no further! In this video, we'll take you on a journey across 10 of the best countries that are renowned for their amazing quality of life.
From South Korea's bustling cities to Thailand's pristine beaches and Japan's fascinating culture, there is something for everyone!
Join us as we explore these amazing places and discover why they're some of the top destinations for expats.
Malaysia is much like Singapore, with more Malays, more affordable cost of living, more land to explore, more central in term of connectivity to other countries, less kiasu, more relax, less stress, friendlier and warmer citizens, and much more delicious foods.
But Malaysia is underrated. Which is quite okay for us Malaysians.
And also, we have the highest rainfall in SEA which means most of the time you can disregard the weather forecast and just use your own judgement. Or just work around it.
If Malaysia is doing that great, how come more than 1 million Malaysians are living and working in Singapore and their children are attending Singapore schools? Not to mention too, every day more than 300,000 Malaysians would travel the causeway to come over to work for Singapore?
@bell-xk5dd there are 33 million Malaysians. Yet, you want to count that 1 million? The only reason is because they're gaining on the opportunity from currency exchange. The rest of us don't even care.
Most of them cross daily. The key word here is 'daily'. Meaning they get higher pay, with lower living cost but high personal sacrifice (time, family, health, etc). So, it's not sustainable for a person to do so in a long duration.
If your island is placed beside the US, you would cross the border to work if you can.
bruhhh singapore also happy living in big land like malaysia ,come on laaa we want you money hahahaha its what china malaysia say
@bell-xk5dd According to statistics, it's close to 900k, not more than 1 million. Don't pick numbers from the sky.
Even if we take 1 million, the ratio is less than 0.03 compared to the actual nos of Malaysian citizens.
0.03 look familiar? This is the cost of water per thousand gallons that Singapore bought from Malaysia, a factor that helps you to build your country to what it is today. 3 cents per thousand gallons.
If your island is situated beside a country with higher currency, I bet your citizens will be working in that country. And you won't get water at 3 cents per thousand gallons.
So, be thankful for having Malaysia as your neighbour.
@afizi1213 ya, spent every weekend in Malaysia, retire in Malaysia.
Malaysia welcomes Singaporean, of course.
But, please don't bring the kiasuness and lack of discipline along. Those are not welcome.
Apart from Taiwan and South Korea, I've visited all the countries on there. I would live in Malaysia as my first, but Thailand, UAE and Singapore are also great options for me
Malaysia is a value-for-money destination for tourists.
How about China? I think that you missed the best nation for retirement.
@@HKChineseCanadian Living International has never put China cities in the best 10 cities in the world for retirement. Penang is only city in Asia listed.
@@HKChineseCanadian Not for me, sorry!
Thanks for not mentioning Vietnam. The locals don’t want too many tourists anyways.
I will not count China even in the top 20. It is a place that internet isn't allowed to access any sites outside of China. Food safety is also a big issue.
No fake news
You are wrong! Try to visit China personally and so not base on the tsismiss✌️🇵🇭👊

Thanks a lot for Mentioning my Country, SINGAPORE!
Our pleasure

Some people said Singapore is boring
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing ❤
I think the author is biased against Philippines.
It means Phillipines is not qualified to be on the list 😮
NO.1 IS THAILAND ❤🙏🏽🇹🇭💪🏽
Good analysis.
You forgot to include the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 ❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🇵🇭
Poor and polluted country
@@lucaevangelisti5132I’ve heard that they eat g@rbag3 in the Philippines….
Indonesia is not kind to Americans, in my experience. They are even unkind to Filipinos, who I would say in my experience are the most kind of any people. I dealt with many Indonesians, as a white American myself, and they were exceedingly rude to me due to me "having too much money" However, I also met many PH and they were exceptionally nice to me. If you had to choose between the two, I would say pick PH. Though my personal
fantasy would be Singapore
Moved to Indonesia recently and am experiencing the same
D
Maybe you haven't found a real Indonesian yet lol
I have been scammed several times during my visit to Indonesia. Its true that they are money chaser .
Enak di kota gua ajalah Bandung😂, semua serba ada dan terjangkau ,cuaca enak, makanan enak, pemandangan bagus.

In reality, what you just said is opposite
Its more Fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I have been to all of the countries mentioned for no less than 3 times. Each time, my stay was 3 to 6 weeks. I have no idea how your rating system works. It doesn't make any sense on your ranking.
You should make a video and share your thoughts.
THANKS
Philippines is number 1
Maybe for backpackers bit not for expats...

Philippines is top list to live.nice beaches, cheaper and not difficult to communicate even childrens can understand basic English words. and you can see houses around the place own by Americans. did you know that 500,000+ Americans living in the Philippines...😊
And slum in Philippines owned by native Filipinos
Your choices in Southeast Asia are sound, but you didn't mention non-resident/expat visa requirements. Further, your choices can be financially daunting. Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong are not "financially friendly," no matter where one hails from.

You're wrong my dear..philippines is the best to live
Best countries of living, How come you live a country thar have language barrier? They do don't know how to speak English, I went to China before its too difficult if you asking people.. Are you comfortable you live that place?
Nice list, although if you want to include the UAE, then also include Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, otherwise include none, these Arab countries will be too quick to kick one out if he loses his job.
Best country to live in Asia ...all depend on how much money u have, type of food u want, ease of communication, transportation available, type of lifestyle u need, overall safety in the country,......etc.
For example: if u just need a peaceful n quite life with just basic neccesities, u can even stay uphill with cool n fresh air.
Vietnam ?
Why wasn't Philippines rated ?
Not safe
Don't ask that question because the owner of this TH-cam channel hate so much the Philippines...
That's why he/she doesn't mention the Philippines..
And that's okay...❤❤❤🇵🇭
@@jealousdesievery where in the Philippines you can see houses own by Americans..😅
Valgalacia. It’s only in Manila. It’s ok in most parts
I am not even surprised to see Singapore ranks 1st. It was ranked the happiest country in Asia and the 30th happiest in the world from 2021 to 2023.
*Indonesia is great for visiting... to stay... nahh... problems are electricity, frequent black out... poor internet... water, education and health care... not upto standard...*
*China... racist... dont learn the hard way...*
*Japan... racist but polite. Like Singapore... its not cheap to live in.*
Hong Kong
I am British Singaporean and I am proud of my birth country. The standard of living is excellent and sadly it makes UK now a sorry state. All the same at my age of 81 I am content with my life. Well done Singapore and all credits to Mr. LEE KUAN YEW.❤
Hong Kong isn't a country 😂😂😂
It's a region of China
Yes hongkong is just city. And Singapore is also city level country.
Indonesia even excels in modern public transportation in Southeast Asia, such as fast trains, which Singapore and Malaysia do not yet have.
yeah it a good alternative choice for citizen and foreigner but it much more beneficial for indonesia, since singapore is small country, hsr is so expensive that our government malaysia and them can't making proper decisions where i think our citizen and them prefer airplane more😢... in 2050 i think they will start develop😅
Singapore is a city state... it does not need "fast trains", as the distances are shorter
HSR is not a thing of daily purpose. It is not an indicator to having efficient public transportation. Many of your public transportation is under developed. You have more tuk-tuks than good MRT.
Sorry your country is still under developed in my opinion..
China was the main contractor in the high speed train not your people.
There are good and bad points living in any country. First make a long list, then tick off those you think are important. One thing about living in Arab/Muslim countries, is the question of religious sensitivity which all surveys failed to mention. As a single person or with family members in tow. City living or with country living. Whether your family will be safe physically and from bad influences. Efficiency/safety of public transport. Alternatives in cheaper living. Do you feel accepted or biases you have known. Is pollution or weather important. Most nitty gritty is not covered but word of mouth also plays a part. If you find you friends or family members sad to leave that is a good place to go to.
Solid list, but be careful with the images. Sometimes you put Qatar images in the UAE section. Also Hong Kong images in the China section, which would normally be ok, but then Hong Kong is the next country.
Singapore is too regimented n boring.
This admin did not try to visit the Philippines...She mess 1/4 of her life 🇵🇭😃✌️❤️
THE VERY FRIENDLY THERE IN MALAYSIA ARE PILIPINOS MALAYSIAN BECAUSE PILIPNOS
BOOD FROM BORNEO,
Taiwan
Thanks you to mention my country
-I am living in SHANGHAI CHINa
lndonesia
❤❤❤❤MABUHAY IT'S MORE FUN HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
why the Philippines is not included it means that Indonesia is better?
I understand that the Philippines is a beautiful country, but here in the UAE, there are a higher number of expats from the Philippines than Indonesia. Indonesia, which has a population more than twice the Philippines, are still less than Filipinos in the UAE.
The author is from Hong Kong or mainland, China.
Indonesia is waayyy better than ph in many aspect, lol🤣

I would love to go to Japan one day, well Singapore is an English speaking country, yet to say Philppines is one English speaking country in Asia to be dirt cheap to live.
👍👏
Tampaknya wak masuk bakul angkat sendiri
Tapi herannya, kok utang Indo nesia kesingapura segebok 😂 katanya Indonesia serba ada, kaya, tapi kok ngutang ??? 😂😂😂
What about non experts? Comon people need where they can get help of job and work and live peacefully , i like Israel please❤
I've travelled to all these countries except Indonesia. I'd say no to China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan. You'll find not many people speak English. I wasn't impressed with South Korea or UAE. Maybe it's just me. I would love Thailand but again a language barrier. So it would have to be Malaysia and Singapore. Both expensive countries but very modern and you will find people that speak English. Thankfully you didn't mention Brunei. I didn't like this nation at all
malaysia is expensive? thats not true at all according to other's experiemces.
I think Malaysia is a better choice to live than in Singapore because it is expensive and it is hard to get a work visa and plus you need to be smart I think?
Why didn't they mention Vietnam?
@@rafaelecattonar1506Maybe because Vietnam is communist (but China is also there so I don't know)
Im sorry but singapore is way more expensive than malaysia..
No.1 is India
Singapore is a police state.
Why don't you mention air pollution noise pollution and water pollution I have been living in half of these countries It's ok for vacation but living is a different story there are a lot of underrated countries around the world cheaper cleaner and much more comfortable 😉
China
I choose malaysia!!!

If you want freedom of speech & large country, go to Canada or US where crime rates are high & protests are common.
Japan has high speed rail.
Is Taiwan and Hong Kong country? Is the firm producer dont know or act dont know
@@chwu7341 Hong Kong and the Taiwan use to produce a lot of stuff and once cheap labor probably I remember a bunch of toys, shoes, and certain electronics test are made in Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Their is protest in Japan, well to say it all the majority of the countries in the world are democracies, but if you do want freedom of speed don't go to countries where freedom of speech is limited.
Is Hong Kong a. country since it was given back to China by the British in the 1990s? No to China; the Chinese are often thought of as being a very unfriendly people and the language problem is a real problem with its script. Most Chinese speak no other language and are insular. Nice to see Malaysia but the climate is awful - I lived there once for 7 years! How about Oman?
Malaysia is not even a safe place to travel alone for women.
How does the Philippines not make the list?
