New Leaf Town Tour 🌳 (cause I'm remaking it in New Horizons)

- Just touring the town I created when I was 16 :)
I recently got my own Switch so now I have another island! I plan to use it as a sandbox for all the ideas I didn't use in my first island. The first idea is remaking my New Leaf town in New Horizons! I'm so excited to see everything in the new beautiful graphics!
man, watching this really put into perspective how much furniture is just... gone
Fun fact: all the remake series in game now that you can buy from Nooks are the first 8ish series in the gamecube catalog. Don't know what that says for the future but it's interesting.

new horizons, although crazy high quality, leaves a lot to be desired :(
But you also have to remember how much new horizons has that new leaf and other games didn’t. Terraforming, placing furniture outside, placing houses where you want. Although I gotta say, I do miss a lot of the characters.
@@goldfishinabottle well technically you could place houses wherever you wanted as long as you did plot resetting. It usually took a day to finish, but it was so worth it.
Instead of placing furniture outside, we could build Public Projects and a lot of the furniture that looked good outside were actually Projects in NL, like the fountain, the hot spring, the Lighthouse, the Hammock, the Metal Bench, the Wood Bench, the Drinking Fountain, the Sandbox, the Scarecrow, the Torch, the Fire Pit, the Water Pump, the Moai Statue, the Pyramid and the Sphynx (which used to be so much bigger btw), the Stonehenge, the Camping Cot, the Wind Turbine, the Solar Panels, the Street Lamp (there were more variations of it aswell) and etc...
There were quite a lot of them, but you had to unlock them by interacting with villagers (which was so much fun in NL).
New Leaf had some really pretty projects that are missing from NH aswell, like the Wisteria Trellis, the Tower, the Statue Fountain, the Flower Arc, the Flower Clock, the Illuminated Arc, Illuminated Heart, Illuminated Clock, the Fairy Bridge, Fairy-tale Clock, Fairy-tale Bench, Fairy-tale Streetligh the Bell, the Zen Garden, Zen Bench, Zen Bell, Zen Clock, the Traffic Signal, the Drilling Rig, the Geyser, the Picnic Blanket, the Circle Topiary, the Square Topiary, the Tulip Topiary, the Totem Pole, the Video Screen, the Windmill, the Bus Stop and the list goes on...
Terraforming was indeed impossible (except if you used one of those programs to change your town's layout), but tbh i find it rather stressful for a game that was supposed to be about relaxing. Tho, i do enjoy the creative liberty. It would be great if they made it more intuitive i guess, cuz using the same button for everything and having to create/destroy only 1 block, one by one, can be quite counterproductive.
@@thiagomestres579 All of this is very true, and I completely agree. One thing that annoyed me though was you had to pay to finish public works projects, which was slightly annoying, but fun as well. I just find it easier in new horizons to make your island more beautiful, but at the same time I get what you’re getting at about NL. Personally, I enjoy New Horizons more, but NL is a very, VERY close second. ☺️ I really wish my villagers in NL would give the picnic project, or literally just anything from the sisterlies 😩 I can’t get them it’s so annoying 😂😅

They need to bring back the variety in fruit and flowers in new horizons. I miss having spiky fruit that scared my sister (we shared a DS 😂)

I was definitely in charge (more than just the mayor gig lol) and so she didn’t really have the DS in her hands that often. I would go on her account and steal her furniture 😂 I liked sharing but I don’t think she did lol

I'm glad! Yeah it all seemed so much easier to decorate in NL. No overwhelming number of possibilities:P

I loved seeing this, kinda interesting how we can now put furniture outside but still have less of it then in NL
I think it's funny that I first got NL just months before NH came out. It was always my "dream" to play Animal Crossing, but my mom wouldn't buy games for me and when I had money, I'd spent it on more important stuff. Definitely didn't get the same appreciation of the game because I played NH soon after, but that doesn't negate how good it was. I especially loved the multiplayer mini games, had so much fun playing them with my stepmom and bonding while playing our favorite game
I think you should do your island in the sprit of your old town, you were still working on your new leaf so you would still be changing things on that island if you were playing it. Dont lock yourself down to 100% copping. You evolved as a designer and islands are never done, just abandoned.
Except for KK disco in the antique room, you have to do that
adding on to this point, you picked the room themes based on what was in that game. Honor that sprit and pick room themes based on what's in NH and you can always update. :)

i really miss re tail. i mean,i only played pocket camp and new horizon,i dont know much about it, but i "LoVeD" how in pocket camp you had to craft an anemite (an-em-it-e) for a freaking 48 HOURS.
The dialogues with the villagers were so much more charming :(

865 hours and I got it at launch in June 2013
I wish I could get animal crossing am stuck with animal crossing pocket camp animal crossing but it still a good game i guess
But New horizons doesn't have fortune cookies and it animal crossing pocket camp has good furniture :>
