In this video, I go cast netting at a local pond to catch food for my fish and pet egret, Edgar. He devoured a bunch of shad and the fish enjoyed the fish pellets. Thanks for watching!!
Unless your a fish just minding your business, cruising a bit too shallow....SNATCH!!! That beak of his is no joke, I guarantee that's what made the 1st person to spear fish, way back when we weren't numerous enough to have pushed all the wildlife out of their natural stomping grounds, back then it was shared and much was learned from everything around you!!! Imagine how fun it would be to live along side tons of different types of creatures, great and small, getting to watch them all in action whenever you want!!!! Oh the follies of our greed, it's disheartening to think about. 🤑
He's tall, it wouldn't surprise me if he was 4 foot!!! Those are some seriously long legs on him!! I'm looking forward to the day we get to see him get a pat pat on the Egret nogin!!! Fishing for those birds is not as easy as most think, they strike out 9 out of 10 times even though they're built perfectly for the task! That's the typical ratio for most hunters out there, with the exception being the pack animals!!! Wolves, hyena, wild dogs, ORCAS!!! They're success rate is more like 1 of 3!! Certain orcas are up at close to 100% though, they created a wave attack that is basically flawless!!! But Edgar, I bet he is just elated to have discovered this pond and it's bounty of fresh shad simply waiting for him to GULP!!! You guys are correct, he definitely knows there's nothing to worry about and it's just a matter of time before he'll be at his back door, peering inside with a 'got shad?' look in those eyes!! HAHAHAHA! He may be creating a monster!! Do not feed the bears!

Yep!! I am willing to put money on that happening, sooner than everyone thinks probably too!! I bet he's feeding him daily off camera to make these vids easier to film, and I'm gonna say before the end of the year he'll be patting Mr Edgar on the head!! He's not joking with the name he picked, I like to think I'm very good at winning trust from lots of different animals, but this man has a gift!!! Any time you see a person with a big group of critters at their feet and nearly fighting for position, it's safe to say they are tuned in like very few can!!
I'm also going to say that he passes 2 mil this year as well!!!! Once the bigger numbers come, we're gonna be the beneficiaries of that!!! He'll be able to get super creative with the feedings and more pay means better cameras which means AMAZING shots for us to geek out over!!! I'm excited for those new ponds!!!!

Give er a try and let me know how much your life improves..... I did it about 15 years ago and it was the best thing that I've ever done!!! I swear to you!!! I'm not trying to be silly or mean, it will change your life in an infinite amount of ways, ways you weren't even aware of!!!! My grandma called it the "idiot box" and that's what it should have been named from the start!!! Great Googly Moogily!!!!

Really great video. I don't know why it's so rewarding to watch you cast a net and then play "circle of life" with your local food chain, but it really soothes my weary mind. I've been a follower for more than a year, and this longer video with the casting and the slow-mo insert was really interesting and felt full of content.

Throwing the fish pellets among the weeds seems to give the catfish an advantage over the bass.
Yea, they don't get rudely shoved aside like when it's not in the weeds.
