That was cool, I was especially interested in the sweater that you have cut into to fix the neck…. something people rarely show. I have done something similar and was pleased I took the time to do it. I would put a life line in now, so that you can come back to this place if things go awry. Hopefully they won’t 😜. Short rows sound good if you need to raise the back neck. I went down a needle size or two for the ribbing. It was still a little wide after blocking, so did a crochet chain on the inside at the start of the ribbing and that worked well to stabalise things. Good luck and looking forward to seeing how it works out.
