Welcome to Sunday night’s video folks. It’s been a long time since I did Indian food and I’ve had a few requests for another banquet recently. Seemed liked the perfect time to do it! I just walked back into my hotel room after the world oyster eating championships so I’m going to sleep and then flying home tomorrow haha, so I’ll catch up with replying to comments when I can! Also, for any wise Alec’s out there, yes I know that Indian food isn’t inextricably linked with Islam, but it’s the second largest religion in the region so of course I wanted to mention Eid and wish everyone a happy and blessed day.

But you know what they say:LOVE IS BLIND. I am not making fun of you, it is just a good life lesson...LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES...REALLY IMPRESSIVE.
I'm South Asian, we use the the lemon juice for the curry, squeeze the lemon juice on the curry it's amazing, the chilli in the other hand is to be eaten with the curry only if you require the extra spice.
WTF is "south Asian"? You're Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi, or just say Indian, since that's your ethnicity. There is no such thing as "muh south asian".
I'm fasting and this has helped me in a weird way. Fast opens in an hours time . Thanks beard

I know what you mean. I'm not fasting but I ran out of cash last week and went 2 days without food, not out of choice. this kind of content helped. think it's because so much food is being consumed that it put me off eating

Just finished Ramadan, and jumped into a water fast (with electrolytes), hope to do it for a month, no food for a month but believe me I'm going to get by by watching all these videos 😍😋

The gulabjam are soaked in pure sugar syrup. Like most Indian sweets, they are diabetes in a box. Also the mass produced gulabjam are always dense. Proper home made ones are much much lighter.
Most of the items shown in the video are not even Indian.. Its like saying "Chop suey" is chinese dish But reality its American.. Same with the items above. most of them are persian influenced...
Pataks Lime Pickle is the best condiment known to mankind! It is so versatile. Had to be the hot one though not the wimpy one! Great in stews, In sandwiches, egg and chips where you wipe up the left over yolk and pickle with lurpak buttered bread! Absolutely delicious!
Well done Beard!!! As a Pakistani I can fully acknowledge that consuming all that food and espcially them parathas / chapatis and deserts seemed impossible considering how heavy and filling they are ... when I saw that big platter full of indian food I thought NAaaa he is not gonna eat half of it!!!

It's like "the Sahara desert", since sahara is the arabic word for big desert then technically it's "the big desert desert" but everyone knows it's actually that specific desert. If someone was going shopping and they were told to get bread, one would assume they mean a standard bread loaf but if they were told to get "naan bread" it's understood that it would be a specific kind of bread that has been made a certain way influenced by a specific culture.
The "tawa" or "tava" depending on how you pronounce it or a concave griddle in english is usually used to cook chappattis on and the "lemon wedges" and "green peppers" are usually for decoration or some people might even eat them all depending on the person 😊👍
Chapati is thin in texture and cooked on the tawa and put on the flame to swell up whereas paratha is thick and greasy and crispy on sides and is cooked on tawa only.
Prantha is thicker whole wheat Chapati is thinner whole wheat Naan is mixture of whole wheat and refined flour The carrot thing is called GAJRELA Really awesome video ! Nice effort , and its really very difficult to eat cold chapatis without any gravy or veggies !

Lime or lemon juice is used to cut the fat and balance the spiciness in the curries, and pickles onion shreds which then are a good combination with rotis and curries or kebabs.
Gajar halwa is made of carrot, milk and dry grated coconut. Gulabjam is made with milk powder, flour and deep fried and then soaked in sugar syrup with essence of your choice. Rassomalai is milk cream thickened and then in the flavoured milk Mango lassi is yoghurt and mango mixed properly in a juicer or blender
before even watching the video and as an Indian I'd just like to say....... always make sure curry makes up around 20-30% of the total mass of the entire assortment of food
Ramadan is not an indian thing, the majority of indians are hindu, ramadan is a muslim holiday. Although many muslims exist in india it is not as big as it is in pakistan.

top tip when doing stuff like that and its already cold, put the stuff in the oven at heating setting or a pretty low temp to reheat it through without making it boiling hot
