JACK/Jurel Toro in Cancun - Mexico with Light Tackle Fishing

My travel rod of up to 1oz always has a surprise in store for me, it is not the first time that I fight a fish this powerful, with patience and meters of line you get it out, they are very long fights, the Jurel Toro is a very strong fish, I managed to catch a bigger one in Cuba a few years ago.

Mi caña de viaje de hasta 1oz siempre me tiene guardada alguna sorpresa, no es la primera vez que me hace pelear un pez asi de potente, con paciencia y metros de linea lo consigues sacar, son peleas muy largas, el Jurel Toro es un pez muy fuerte, ya consegui sacar uno mayor en Cuba hace unos años.

What the best leader for bone fish

They’re not super line shy in shallow water so can go up to about 15 without reducing the bite so drastically though I think I do better with 8-10. If you’re sinking lures in deeper water I recommend light leader like #6-#8 as it seems to actually affect the catch. They never damage leaders.
