Absolutely! I once did a charter while I was down there... the crew was nice... but it was essentially just trolling and they wouldn't even let me handle the fish until we were at the docks! This is more my style! Thanks for the comment!
Impressive! I am actually now at this same spot with my family dealing with the quarantine here in La Amada, I have the jetty just a couple of steps outside my condo. I am a very new to fishing, can you give me some tips? I go fishing to that same spot but haven’t catch nothing above 15 cms. Thanks in advance and keep this great videos coming. Best regards

Yeah, definitely stock up, as they will get wrecked if the fish are biting! Along with that, perhaps consider some larger sized yo-zuris!

I used a krocodile to catch mine
What baits did you use, For the barracuda?
Honestly, the best way I found to target them is to catch something small, and then live line it... just be careful as some of the birds that fly around might try and yank your bait out of the water!

What kind of line were you using, I heard you say your travel rod ended up snapping, my rods rated 8-17lb mono. I’ve read that braid on a travel rod is asking for the rod to snap from the added pressure it puts on it.
Where in Mexico were you? Looks like costa mujeres little north of Cancun resort area. Would love to do that myself
This is so awesome, I love it! Was this place accessible to public or was it only private access for those staying at the hotels along the harbor?
You would only be able to access this if you are staying at the resorts or have access to the marina

@@jasonjohnson9403 Excellence Playa Mujeres. There are three resorts and a condo all clustered adjacent to a marina. This is off the jetty at the marina.

Is there places near the resorts to buy fishing gear?? Rod mainly I'll bring gear
I personally can't speak from experience... if it's any consolation, I have brought 3 piece travel rods with me, that fit in my suit case... nothing too fancy, but enough to get the job done! Otherwise, I'm sure there might be something, as the concierge at your resort might be able to give you some advice.

Lucky! This was off of a resort hotel I stayed at in Playa Mujeres.

@@dariusfiscu3097 Cool... these fish were first thing in the morning, though I did notice that the fish started to move in again right before sunset.
What size stradic and rod? Lure? You said 15 lb braid and 25 flouro leader
It’s a 4000 Stradic and a medium 4 piece ugly stick… the ideal length to fit in my carry on luggage. 15 pound test braid
