Hello, I have programmed my fob for 99Accord. Doors lock and unlock perfectly. I Don't know why the Lock/Unlock confirmation beep is not sounding. I have followed instructions from your video to the T. No problems with the doors, they are locking/unlocking perfectly. NO CONFIRMATION BEEP! Do you have any further clues that you can share. Thank You.😊

Great video. My remote is a bit different although i drive the same car as you (civic 2 door 1997). It has only one button and communicate through infrared (you can see them infrared leds on the top side through your phone camera when you press a button). Is your remote also a infrared version? you can easily check this: put your remote in your pocket, stand outside the car and if you press a button on the remote and your car does nothing -> infrared version.
I have seen your remote on the 7th gen civic, that's why i'm asking.

Unfortunately, I handled this like a poor science experiment and introduced too many variables, so I'm not entirely sure what was the ultimate process that led the remote to program properly, but it worked, so I'll take it as a win, and hopefully it helps you as well.
In Mike's video he seems to completely turn the ignition off rather than turn it to I for OFF and II for ON like the website instructions say to do; I did what Mike did -- part 1 of what might have contributed to my success? Part 2 was that instead of proceeding to step 8 and turning the ignition off after pressing the lock button in steps 6 and 7, I pressed the lock button for a third or fourth time then turned the ignition to the full OFF position and removed the key. Part 3 (which is mandatory) was angrily opening the car door, getting out and frustratedly attempting to manually lock the car with the physical key but in a last ditch effort mashing the remote lock button only to find out the programming process had somehow completed successfully.
I followed the online instructions explicitly 3 times -- speeding up my steps each time thinking I was going too slowly. Then I tried the process using Mike's method at least another 4 times to no avail -- messed up a couple attempts with my overzealous locking. In steps 6 and 7, you press the lock button before shutting it off in step 8, but I noticed that you can press the lock button twice more before the car locks stop responding to the remote presses. I didn't pay enough attention to notice which worked (lock press 3 or 4), so either a third or fourth lock press before turning the ignition off and opening the doors I believe is what might have caused it to work. I gave up after what seemed like 12 attempts, but it was the last attempt that apparently worked. And if my steps don't help, you could always write down the different steps you take and then change each attempt slightly until it completes successfully! Best of luck!!
