Thanks man! This was super helpful. I just recently got my CR-V and this was bugging me. The code thing was what the previous owner did not know. Thanks Again!!!
Also, many think it won't open rear door glass because they don't wait long enough. For some reason, the rear takes longer to actuate. Just keep holding a button down it takes 3 seconds, at least. Your welcome
I had a similar problem with my CRV regarding the socket connector. However on mine, the button you are using to actuate the locks is for rolling the window down and up! Just check that when you repaired the door harness socket the wires were correctly repaired. Another thing I noted on mine the modular code is G8D-454H-B. I can't seem to find the exact code for the FOB anywhere! I am afraid to do trial and error they take a bit long to ship and return. All the same great content for Honda CRV owners
They all have it. For some strange reason if you asked for remote entry the dealers only had to give you 2 key fobs after programming them. Honda put the system in all first Gen crv. No need to check it is in their.
@19guitarshredder He is clueless. All you need to do is by the correct key fobs and follow the programming instructions. The receiver hardware is installed at the factory for 97-01 CR-Vs. All you need is a key fob, which you can get new on E-bay for $40-$50. Takes 2 minutes to program.

I have a 2000 model Honda CRV. I'm trying to find out if the hazard lights are supposed to flash when you press you're remote control doorlocking fob .
Yes I also explained this in the video, you have to remove your fender and side skirt on drive side to access the wire pins to check witch one is disconnected and re pin it. That’s why it’s not working for you.
How to program starts at 5.30

I have a Japanese version (right side steering wheel) and it has a G8D-454H-B module, will this fob work for my car? Thanks
Thank you
The module on all the crvs 96-01 are the same # or they change??
YES VERY HAPPY IT WORKS BUT YOU HAVE TO DO FULL OFF NOT JUST HALF WAY OFF
They all have it. For some strange reason if you asked for remote entry the dealers only had to give you 2 key fobs after programming them. Honda put the system in all first Gen crv. No need to check it is in their.
My dealer claimed based on my vin that my 2001 LX doesn't have keyless entry installed.

does this work for a 97 honda crv
Yes
What kind of range are you able to unlock the car from? My car doesn’t open unless I’m basically right next to it.
I have noticed that it does not have the most range but pointing it at the car wile pressing the command you need will help a little.
When you lock do you to hold lock or just pressed it? I do have 2000 honda crv ex. Thanks
Just press it
I was able to pair the remote with the CRV, but it only unlocks the driver side door. Does anyone have a fixed to get the rest of the doors working?
Tap unlock twice for the rest of the doors... one tap. Should be driver. Two taps. Should do the rest of the doors.
My crv remote battery is dead. But if i want to open it manually it will set the alarm. Do you know how to turn off the alarm?
I would suggest unplugging the battery then replacing the battery.
Control of the years 2002 will be that serves that 𝐨𝐟 the year 2000
I have a 2000 model Honda CRV. I'm trying to find out if the hazard lights are supposed to flash when you press you're remote control doorlocking fob .
I don’t think so, mines do not but I do feel like they should.
I followed your instructions and the locks cycled but the new remote still does not open or close the locks. What should I do next?
Highly recommend you to check the wire plug between the door and the fender on the driver side and make sure your wires are all the way plug in.
Want to know , 1996 crv work?
Yes
My same aftermarket fob will lock and unlock all doors except driver. Any way to fix this?
Yes I also explained this in the video, you have to remove your fender and side skirt on drive side to access the wire pins to check witch one is disconnected and re pin it. That’s why it’s not working for you.
Did every CR-V come with remote keyless entry or just EX models?
I believe they all did check your driver side behind the panel it should have a remote modular. If it has that you have keyless entry
@@Moco_crv Is it under the dead pedal or under the driver side dash like under the steering wheel area? And what does the receiver look like?
No it’s on the door in the driver side.
My receiver says FCC ID: E4EG8DK and I see remote online for E4EG8DJ. Is that the correct remote? The part numbers don't match though.
Do you have to have the stock radio?
No you don’t, that won’t affect the door locks
Thank you!@@Moco_crv
You literally could have did this video in half the time my man
Was trying to be as informative as possible, and sometime you double explain when you have a camera in your face.
Don’t work with the correct remote
All the ones I seen on ebay have a B on the end can't find an A at all
Order the link I put up and then in the request column put what I put. Instructions are in the description
I must skip this video 12 times this guy talks way too much
decent video, but it would have been better if your kids head wasn't in the way when we're trying to see the ignition.
you talk too much beo
