I just realized when Kaeya stole the curse all of the friends realized he was going to die in there and you can see from the shock on their faces that they realized the time has come for them to die as well :( they always knew that they just needed Kaeya to start it for them.
This is too wholesome. How can TH-cam only recommended this to me after it was released for more than a week!! The way you choose every character for every role in the song. It fits so well!!! - Choosing Kaeya to be the first one who entered the door, implying that although he is always a dishonest person, and deceives everyone around him with his smile. He still has kindness in him, enough that he is willing to take the "blessing" (curse) first in place of his friends. The line "We share our joy and pain as one" with that smile on his face making him look like the first villain who started the betrayal. But as the story end, that line he said was just like a way to remind Paimon about their decisions were their own choice and they did it because they wanted it. - Jean and Barbara in place of the two sisters. Barbara has a bright characteristic, and even innocent at some point. However, when she saw Jean entering the third door, she wouldn't hesitate to go to the fourth one so she would be able to follow her sister, despite the scary darkness awaiting that could make one lose their sanity. - And the twin's part, too. Lumine just pushed Aether away and enter the door leading to the "Garden of Silver Snow". It looked like Aether was about to go in but then Lumine decided to take her brother's place to lengthen his life span just a bit more. The line "Her tear of joy" is just both a lie and truth. It was a lie because it looked like she was happy for being able to steal the "blessing". It was truth for she was able to make her brother live a bit longer and also saving Paimon. - And the fact that I have been used to the cheerful and optimistic Paimon makes the last part hurt even more. As she found out the cruel truth about the blessing, realizing although she could become the next Messiah and save all the people in her world, she couldn't save her 9 closest friends who sacrificed their lives so she wouldn't have to suffer. - Every moment when a character stepped into a room, you drew them as true villains. And anyone who plays genshin impact and knows their characteristic would see how they acted so different compares to their original self, showing how sincere they were to take the (curse) "blessing" for Paimon. - And the last picture. Showing Paimon's most beautiful memory about her friends. It just hit right into my heart. - What's more? Diluc's smile is too wholesome already :)) Just this part is enough.
Honestly every time I get into a new Fandom one of the first things I try to do is assign the characters into this song, and this was the first time it fit SO gosh darn perfectly that I had no choice but to do the thing It was just like Kaeya is the first one obviously, its KAEYA Firey swordsman is diluc, obviously Older sister, younger sister... we got Jean and Barbara The twins... The fact that Aether is the last one to 'betray' Paimon(he's the one I chose to be traveler for my account) Paimon not having a vision The fact that it was mankind's arrogance that started it all... mhm kaeya is deceiving and I think he will play a very big role in the story of genshin impact later on but i wont say just in case you haven’t read the genshin manga or not heard of kaeya’s past but I do think he is kind underneath bc that would explain mona’s predictions for him in her profile

Basically, all the 9 are sacrifices for the Messiah, so they knew their fate from the beginning. The point was for the Messiah to feel the betrayal that the God felt with his people that have destroyed his land.

Her friends ask to tag along as they know what these blessings actually are, curses/atonement. They each choose to sacrifice themselves so the Messiah doesn't have to endure the suffering alone but the Messiah doesn't know that and thinks they were blinded by greed and betrayed her. When she reaches the top she finds out the truth, that they sacrificed themselves for her and idk what happens after but it's a lot sadder knowing the meaning of the song

I felt each of the 'betrayals'. I got goosebumps when the truth was revealed. Now I feel like crying xD Also - I was like "of course Kaeya went first" lol. I'm happy that they didn't really betray her, and I like the line at the start before the "betrayal" (we share pain and joy). Felt very fitting for him, specifically, to say that too given his backstory.
this actually might be a good theory on how the elements were started paimon being the only survivor and what actually happened is that they sacrificed themselves for paimon ok but instead of the genshin character cast the ones who sacrificed themselves would be the archons cause listen to my point the water vision pointing to fontaine's archon who probably died by drowning and murata the archon of natlan just a theory don't worry i don't think this is the case though

I love how the curses the 9 sacrifices had matched up to the names of the "blessings" like a drought for sunlight or burning in lava for the magma one. Or tornados, lighting, darkness. Really cool stuff

THIS IS SO UNDERRATED, MY GOSH, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG. I will vow to at least get you another view and share it with my friend. The art was inspiring, I loved it!
I'd like to leave my impressions as someone who didn't know this song, but knows Genshin very well (and some Vocaloid songs). At first, I was surprised that Paimon was playing the main role. I usually see one of the Travelers as the main character. It was too idyllic for a vocaloid song, I was expecting some problems on the way to the tower, but those only started in the tower. Kaeya's betrayal somehow didn't surprise me, instead I was stunned that Diluc did the same. I thought it was because of the rivalry between them. But when Jean was next, I already knew something was up. Jean would never do that! So the thought occurred to me that it was probably about some kind of sacrifice. Barbara's behavior somewhat confirmed this. Albedo, Xingqiu, and Chongyun didn't worry me too much because I was already almost certain that it wasn't as Paimon thinks. And finally, the twins... How fortunate was that the characters who were only part of the group in the main song were at the very end? Thanks to that the genshin version made an especially big impression on me. First Lumine who chose Garden of Silver Snow, which reminded me of the field of flowers that appears in the trailers. Then Aether at the very end as the "canonical" Traveler, also "betrayed" Paimon, leaving her alone. It's especially sad when you think that in the game Paimon asks Traveler never leave her. And then came the final scene, which confirmed my suspicions that everyone had sacrificed themselves for Paimon. Something to be expected from vocaloids, but in this version, when I was attached to the characters from the game, it really made me sad. Anyway, after watching this version I got familiar with the original and appreciated this video even more! Really good job, thank you for making this! I've watched it many times now and every time I feel a squeeze in my heart when characters sacrifice themselves! 😭

Basically, all the 9 are sacrifices for the Messiah, so they knew their fate from the beginning. The point was for the Messiah to feel the betrayal that the God felt with his people that have destroyed his land.

Her friends ask to tag along as they know what these blessings actually are, curses/atonement. They each choose to sacrifice themselves so the Messiah doesn't have to endure the suffering alone but the Messiah doesn't know that and thinks they were blinded by greed and betrayed her. When she reaches the top she finds out the truth, that they sacrificed themselves for her and idk what happens after but it's a lot sadder knowing the meaning of the song

THIS IS SO UNDERRATED, MY GOSH, I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG. I will vow to at least get you another view and share it with my friend. The art was inspiring, I loved it!
I'd like to leave my impressions as someone who didn't know this song, but knows Genshin very well (and some Vocaloid songs).
At first, I was surprised that Paimon was playing the main role. I usually see one of the Travelers as the main character.
It was too idyllic for a vocaloid song, I was expecting some problems on the way to the tower, but those only started in the tower.
Kaeya's betrayal somehow didn't surprise me, instead I was stunned that Diluc did the same. I thought it was because of the rivalry between them.
But when Jean was next, I already knew something was up. Jean would never do that! So the thought occurred to me that it was probably about some kind of sacrifice. Barbara's behavior somewhat confirmed this.
Albedo, Xingqiu, and Chongyun didn't worry me too much because I was already almost certain that it wasn't as Paimon thinks.
And finally, the twins... How fortunate was that the characters who were only part of the group in the main song were at the very end? Thanks to that the genshin version made an especially big impression on me. First Lumine who chose Garden of Silver Snow, which reminded me of the field of flowers that appears in the trailers. Then Aether at the very end as the "canonical" Traveler, also "betrayed" Paimon, leaving her alone. It's especially sad when you think that in the game Paimon asks Traveler never leave her.
And then came the final scene, which confirmed my suspicions that everyone had sacrificed themselves for Paimon. Something to be expected from vocaloids, but in this version, when I was attached to the characters from the game, it really made me sad.
Anyway, after watching this version I got familiar with the original and appreciated this video even more! Really good job, thank you for making this! I've watched it many times now and every time I feel a squeeze in my heart when characters sacrifice themselves! 😭
