Venti is Barbatos’s mortal identity, like Zhongli is Morax’s mortal identity. The figure in 1:32 would be the nameless bard and the small creature floating beside him would be Venti/Barbatos when he wasn’t an archon. The figure in 3:16 would be Venti/Barbatos when he had already ascended to his current archon position and had taken on a mortal form to walk amongst his people. I have a severe addiction to lore please help me, and also feel free to correct me if I said anything wrong lmao

Zhongli had more time to grieve and to adapt...and he had a much larger support group I'm the form of the Adepti...but Venti had much less time and is _STILL_ in grieving and he still hasn't really completely gotten out of the worst of it...and on top of that he has a much smaller support group that pretty much consists of Dvalin (who was not only sleeping for lord knows how long but who was then _CORRUPTED_ and turned against him which only added on a layer of pressure), Vanessa (who is literally just a falcon now), Andrius (who he may or may not even talk to much), Jean (who he only recently met and who is only human meaning she will likely die before him and even then only God knows if she would ascend to Celestia), and Zhongli (who he has a love-hate relationship with due to...past problems...and who he is afraid of)...but even then he's constantly bottling up his emotions and trying to appear like everything's fine...which can cause some serious emotional and psychological damage which only adds another layer to his drinking addiction... Like God damn most people would have probably killed themselves by now! And the worst part? I can kind of relate to that! I mean, when I was a kid I would (and still do) constantly bottle up any negative emotions because I was afraid to hurt those around me by worrying them or having my negativity rub off on them... So I know what it's like to hide your true feelings from others.... TLDR: Venti seriously needs a hug and therapy .
Venti assumed his friend’s form when he became a god... In my mind, little wind spirit was named Barbati and the bard was named Ventos. So, Barbati replaced the last syllable of his name, making him Barbatos. And when he went undercover as a bard, he used his friend’s name, but kept a distinguishing line between them by using the ending of his own name instead of Ventos’s. That’s my story.

I mean seriously, I lost the ability to cry over sad things a few years ago due to watching a really sad AMV and yet for the first time in like 3 years I can now cry on command thanks to Venti's depressing past. (Btw I'm fine now I actually joke about my past because I got over it such a long time ago and I'm actually glad it happened since I became a better person and can empathize with more people because of it)

The more I listen and understood make me tear up. I always wonder why I get attached to Venti in beginning but when I first found out about his past i understood the reason why I did. Am sure being an archon or adepti sure is a struggle especially seeing so many hardship around them.

I like to believe that one of the reasons why Venti likes to sit on his own statue’s palm is because it brings back the memories of the time when he was just a wisp and the nameless bard was still alive. I like to think that the Nameless Bard watches over Venti and today’s Mondstadt as a bird. It doesn’t matter what or how many lives the Bard takes, he always watches over Mondstadt as a being of sky. I've seen this in my recommended for a long time but just now got to watch it cause I knew it would hurt me so I had to prepare. It still hurt me tho. I adore Venti and the nameless bard's friendship bUT BOY DOES IT HURT
The song is so great and really portrays how Mondstat was before they gain their freedom and the big role the Nameless Bard had for it to happen. It also explains why Barbatos rules Mondstat the way he does by not meddling in how his people rule. He is giving them all the freedom all of the Mondstaters who died before its freedom never see and experienced including his friend the nameless bard. I always find it ironic that the God of Freedom himself is chained by his past and his loss to the point that he took the form of his friend to always remember him and had to resort to drinking to help deal with it. I'm under the impression that the nameless bard never got to see that feather since by the time Wisp Barbatos came back with it the revolution had already started.
I also forgot to add that he got cut off twice I mean "Barbados we... " and then "the bard would shape the future with his last words Barbatos my friend" but to add on they sing together at the end this is an amazing song

The more I listen and understood make me tear up. I always wonder why I get attached to Venti in beginning but when I first found out about his past i understood the reason why I did. Am sure being an archon or adepti sure is a struggle especially seeing so many hardship around them.

I like to believe that one of the reasons why Venti likes to sit on his own statue’s palm is because it brings back the memories of the time when he was just a wisp and the nameless bard was still alive. I believe that the nameless bard used to hold Barbatos like that on his palm, which brought me tears IJDJSIJAS

The song is so great and really portrays how Mondstat was before they gain their freedom and the big role the Nameless Bard had for it to happen. It also explains why Barbatos rules Mondstat the way he does by not meddling in how his people rule. He is giving them all the freedom all of the Mondstaters who died before its freedom never see and experienced including his friend the nameless bard.
I always find it ironic that the God of Freedom himself is chained by his past and his loss to the point that he took the form of his friend to always remember him and had to resort to drinking to help deal with it.
I'm under the impression that the nameless bard never got to see that feather since by the time Wisp Barbatos came back with it the revolution had already started.
