I hope you enjoy this video as it's been by far the most challenging upload yet. I've spent close to 100 hours in the past two weeks programming and recording the orchestra, instrument by instrument on my keyboard. I've invested an incredible amount of time, effort, and money (the orchestral VST libraries can get very pricey) so if you'd like me to record and upload more concertos on my channel you can help me out by donating or becoming a Patron. Thank you!
@@chickenwaffles9638 If I do another concerto movement it's very likely to be Ravel because I've been looking at that one. It might not happen for some time but I'm hoping to do it eventually

Amazing, man.. My favorite part of this movement is the ending. It always brings up an image in my head; A sunrise in the park, as if Rachmaninoff was letting out a sigh of relief. He could be in peace again Rachmaninoff wrote the Concerto for his therapist, since he was struggling with depression and his therapist helped him overcome the obstacles
I was about to say... I listened to this for the first time and was immediately hit by the similarity, enough to assume inspiration having been taken from this piece.
If you’re referring to the chromatic line, I don’t know if that’s specific enough to be a throwback… he uses chromaticism throughout pretty much all of his music.
My favourite Concerto, I must have it by eleven (11) different artist (including the Maestro Himself, Rachmaninov) No two (2) musicians play it exactly the same, I love them ALL, I love to compare them. I first heard it at the age of thirteen (13) I am seventy-six (76) now, it has taken me through the tough times and rejoiced in the good times . . . it is the sound-track to my life!
me encanta esta parte. Casi al final, es tan emocionante y dulce a la vez, siento estar superando una gran tristeza por un amor fallido, la música es magia definitivamente
The Nostalgia I get is just... Too much. I would walk 2 miles every night while listening to Rach 2 and other pieces. This piece has a special place in my heart
@@Ch29 oops kind of a late reply, but I kinda started to learn something else and forgot about the piece, I was about to finish learning it but decided to learn something else haha, but now I'm interested in this piece again and I might start to re-learn it. I got some new piano skills since and this piece looks less scary to me now, so I'll give it a try :)
The orchestration part is really impressive, I can’t imagine the amount of work ! The only thing to improve is the last A tempo. I find it better faster where we hear less the 5 notes on the left hand. Overall I’ve enjoyed the slower tempo because I’m in the process of learning the concerto too, so it’s useful to memorize the score. Thank you !
GORGEOUS!!... LOVE RACHMONINOFF NO .2 PERFECT TOUCH!! ... CAN LISTEN TO THIS.. A MILLION TIMES OVER!! EXQUISTE.. CLASSICAL POWER!! ULTRA BEAUTIFUL!! GOD SPEAKS IN RAVISHING CHORDS & TONES!!! WAKE UP TOO BEAUTY.. FOREVER! SUZZAN C WILSONI💋💘😇💞💋💋💘💞💞💘💋💘💞
Wow instant subscribe!!! ❤I’m a classical pianist student at University in Canada and I have to learn Grieg’s Concerto this year. Is there any chance you could program the Grieg’s Concerto and sell it ? (At least the first mouvement) It would take my practices to another level to be able to feel with the orchestra. I searched hard to find a good orchestra accompaniment available on internet but haven't found one. I think there's a market in the educational field where you could find succes! I hope you'll consider it. Good luck for your continuation!
Amazing and subscribed. Is there any chance you could share the just orchestral accompaniment for this piece? I’d like to use it for my own practice, thank you!

Oh you did the orchestra yourself???? Great job 👌
Thank you1
The 2nd Mvt of Ravel’s concerto please, it’s one of my favorites

Starting at 10:58 is the most beautiful and most perfectly written piece ever. Such a tear jerker
11:04 is my favorite part of this whole piece
The Hardest part of the piece 6:40 - 8:45. The rest is just a piece of cake 😊
Especially from 7:06

It's when the tears start to fall... first heard this piece 4 years ago and listened to it uncountably since then yet it still hits the same 💔
The orchestra sounds absolutely wonderful
Glad to hear it :) it was a LOT of work heh

I didn't know that
It makes it so much emotional to hear now
I’m loving the effects. It’s obvious that you have put a lot of work into this. Thanks for this!
Thank you so much!!
I’m surprised no one has said this but “All by myself” takes most of its musical elements from this piece
I was about to say... I listened to this for the first time and was immediately hit by the similarity, enough to assume inspiration having been taken from this piece.
Lo stesso Eric Carmen ha sempre detto di aver preso spunto da quest opera " secondo movimento "
Rachmaninov was credited and his estate receive 12% royalties
This is probably the MOST beautiful piece of all time
8:44 I love that subtle throwback to his prelude in c sharp minor (beginning of agitato). Those small details is why I love this concerto so much.
If you’re referring to the chromatic line, I don’t know if that’s specific enough to be a throwback… he uses chromaticism throughout pretty much all of his music.
One of the highest quality piano video on youtube. I can’t find other words to describe it, it’s perfect imho
11:00
That violin section must feel this part come up like a rock ballad at the end oml

Oh man the lead up to, and including 9:01 is one of my favorite classical moments ever. Well done!
I’ve been hearing for years that Eric Carmen used this as a basis for All By Myself, and finally got around to listening. Well done, everyone.

Awesome job, this is my favorite movement. I hope this video gets the views it deserves.
I hope so as well 😁
beautiful rendition well done ! the most gorgeous coda rachmaninoff ever wrote 🥰
You are HEAVILY underrated!! This was so wonderful and the orchestra sounds so good! Keep it up:)
I love your feeling of the ending piece, it is honestly one of the most melanchonic and moving interpratations I have heard of that section.
My favorite part 10:50
Well done!! Appreciate the hard work!
Really cool. Beautiful playing and incredibly well done orchestra.
Hello Jesus
I also played the concerto, but i never got it synced up to the orchestra, really impressive 👍
