Great to hear and see you guys again. I have being enjoying my R1S and had lot to do with the confidence gain by putting a blind order and then hearing more details from you guys. Thanks
Hey gents, Rod/Northeast Rivian Club here....kinda wondering if Rivian is gonna go after the Subaru market with an EV type wagon. They may want something a little more mainstream, like a smaller pickup, in addition to the SUV they are building, but the Subaru demographic seems somewhat similar to the Rivian audience with outdoorsy lifestyle. Also could bridge the gap for those who are in sedans now but don't want an SUV style vehicle. Plus, Subaru doesn’t really have any competition... So an R2S and R2W...just a thought.
Hoping R2 is sized smaller like a Fisker ocean. Hope still can fit a bigger battery so it can do over 300 miles. Agree suspension will be a cheaper non air version. I hope it still has same roof attachment points so we can use same cross bars. Glad to see you guys again! Don’t forget west coast version of your camp event. We call it Gary’s Jamboree.
Definitely would be interested in a Midwest meeting point for a Rivian event. Would the Ozarks provide enough interest of things to do locally? Or perhaps something around the Rivian factory in Normal, IL? How about the Great Appalachian Valley which is west of the Blue Ridge mountains, both being apart of the west end of the Appalachian mountains?
@@skylerwilliams - Hey Skyler, thanks, Been a while. Glad to see you and Jimmy still carry the torch. I've been away from the forums quite a while. Any idea timing-wise of when you think this meet up event would take place? Mid- or late spring? Summer? Late March / early April I'll be returning from CO to IL after some spring skiing. Looking to possibly time it to see the solar eclipse on April 8th and maybe afterwards even a Rivian factory tour. I'm hoping there can be a Rivian meet up event somewhere in the central Midwest. Glad to hear the Ozarks may have some potential to meet. Never been.
Looking forward to the R2 and really hoping they announce an earlier production by producing it at the Normal plant and then moving to Georgia once the plant is completed. They don't need the high production of R1 so they could just build those in between R2 production.
Welcome back! I really think there will be one standard form factor so they can produce them at a high rate to actually make some money. At most I think they could offer 2 wheel and 4 wheel of the same one single format.
Is Rivian broadcasting the R2 unveiling on the web? Or is it an exclusive in person event only? Did I just miss this, but I’m kind of amazed as an R1T owner for 20 months I didn’t get an email notification of a broadcast of this event. If they’re taking preorders my wife, a huge crossover suv and Rivian fan, wants to be poised to press send the moment she can.
I hope they do a livestream. If not, I bet Out of Spec will. Either way, I expect good coverage to be out probably same day. The event is at 10 AM Pacific.
Wheel options are the least of my concerns. I want to see a R2 SUVs and trucks and maybe confirmation of interior options if different than current offerings via R1 options and of course semi-realistic and transparent production dates.
@@johnhronafalvy I think Jeep will be first with the Recon, and options are a good thing. We still haven't heard anything concrete yet, but I look forward to getting details on both pricing & tech.
Since no one is addressing what appears to be the elephant in the room, I can only speculate that something was previous announced via the podcast for paying subscribers on why Kyle is not around. Whether that's the case or not, hopefully someone chimes in and explains why Kyle is not present.
@@JimmyfromRivianStories Thanks, Jimmy. No doubt family has to be the priority, which is what I had anticipated. Just glad, presumably, that he is well and spending time with the family. Cheers!
@@skylerwilliams - I know, well I met, another TH-camr a few years back and asked about the time commitment. And you're absolutely correct about the time required to produce these videos WITH quality. Just glad to hear it's family related priorities and presumably he is doing well.
guys, need to keep these coming, it was truly missed.
Tire talk will drop Thursday, and I think it will be a good one.
If there's a small truck priced around $40k, they'll get an immediate reservation from me.
Glad you guys are back in the saddle. You've been missed!!!

Thanks for hanging in there with us, Carlos!
So glad to see you guys back!!! My favorite TH-cam channel. 😎

Totally agree. Rivian would easily take a big chunk of Subaru's sales. Subaru sold over 700,000 vehicles in the US last year.
Great to see you both back On the Air!!

Great suggestions! Ozarks are gorgeous & could be a great spot.

Intrigued about: charging speed, battery pack, wheel and color options, interior trim options including controllable rgb lighting??
Missed you guys. Just send payment for my R1S order I placed in April 2021! Finally getting it!
Thanks for coming back. I hope you can return to posting regularly.
Glad to see new content!🍻
Skyler - just curious the general response of the people you talked with regarding EVs - was it all skeptical or mixed?
Hooray for another video!!

Been to Lufkin and Texarkana with my R1T among other locations

I'm hoping for at least 2 models, but we'll see!
man, it's been ages!
An R2R with model 3 procing would be an instant reservation
Where have you guys been?
Life…
Around, it's been tough without Kyle's knowledge & expertise!
Can’t wait for R2!
I hope to see a truck that fits into the Maverick space, small enough to be affordable and efficient but still capable of hauling a sheet of plywood.
Maverick has proved there's a market for smaller trucks, and I think an EV option would be well received.
Why didn’t you guys go see the R2 and R3 reveal?
The boys are back
welcome back
Fellas!!!!!
Wish list : Orange color and small suv

I hope for a European-sized line up (T, S, ...). R1T unfortunately is way too big for European roads and parking lots.
I'm expecting a R2 SUV and maybe a R2O which will be more off road oriented like a Jeep or Bronco competitor.
Warngler or Bronco would be amazing, and I've said that for a LONG time!

I’m starting to become suspicious of the lack of grey in Jimmy’s beard. Genetics or JFM?
Haha. Opnwide, I have some.

Rivian should make an electric Jeep Wrangler adventure type vehicle
AMEN!
At least the reveal is not hyped up

Been while! too Long!
R2C ?
Can you guys drink some coffee and pick up the pace?
Thanks for watching. Watch us at 1.5x speed and it's like we've been drinking coffee.
Haha, I talk too slow for a lot of people anyway.
Are you guys enjoying this channel still or is it just a chore now? Jimmy does not seem excited the way Skyler is.
I am sorry that my enthusiasm didn’t show through in today’s video…If this is a chore, I’d take this over the dishes that are piling up in the sink.
Jimmy gets up crazy early in the morning, and we'll get some more exciting topics.
can I have your Invite. I'm here in Southern California
