We need to start telling big box stores and manufacturers that we are tired of seeing garbage for sale. For every zilch, there are about 10 other garbage knives on display at Walmart. For a much bigger price tag.
So true. I was looking at the knives in my local Walmart and their selection was bad and overpriced. Whoever is responsible for buying knives for Walmart is not Informed
@@sonofacheron And it's not just Walmart! Home Depot and Lowes are even worse. Especially in the flashlight section.
I like my Buck 256 Decatur with wood scales I purchased online a couple of weeks ago for $20. 7cr blade, flipper with linerlock. Great pocket clip with firm retention and its backed by Buck's Lifetime Warranty. I used to carry only dedicated knives as a kid. Then in my twenties I started carrying a Leatherman Kick multitool and generally only carry my Leatherman tools until now. I decided for the money it was very nice at 3 ounces approximately. I keep it in the inner pocket of my rain coat when I walk my dog. I can even clip it to my collar like a pen, its almost weightless but the study pocket clip keeps it secure in place. I ordered a Leatherman Arc on the 17th so I'll have that delivered within the week. I've been carrying the Bond and Curl as my EDCs since late last winter. I love them! The Super Tool 300 is my preferred outdoor carry. I figure this Buck 256 can only compliment my Leatherman tools and with the cold weather coming a flipper assist can't hurt.
Just got this knife today as my first ever EDC knife. I have nothing else to compare it too. I bought it strictly off the good reviews. So far I like it and the price was right.
I got a couple last year after watching the Gideons video. One for me and one for my wife. It's a very good knife for the price!

Gideons and you are my GO-TO guys for reviews! I'm not a big fan of liner locks.....but the Zilch is a good value in this price point range.....even with the 7cr..... The USA made Buck Bantam series, in their famous 420HC Stainless is another good value knife in the $20-$25 range......Just wish it they were tip up carry.....but I am happy with the value, and comfortable handle. And I've see you can get the 110 slims for around $30.....Lots of good deals lately....

you should try out the Swisstech Wurdig with Aus 8 Japanese steel and green micarta handle this pocket knife has become one of my favorite pocket knife of all time its like $29.97 for one

i love this Gerber pocket knife but i have the same problem the number they put on the back of the knife is never for the right Gerber pocket knife !

Gerber can absolutely make a good "budget" pocket knife, the problem for me is that their design/manufacture standards vary so wildly from one model to the next, so you'll get a really nice one like the Quadrant, Wingtip or Straightlace and then a piece of garbage like the Vise, Mini Paraframe or Armbar.
what is you opinion on the gerber ayako? i enjoy the one i have but i find the action very stiff.
I limit my gerber consumption a LOT lol, havn't tried it.
Could be made by titanium/magnesium with magnacut blade, but if I see: liner lock system, I think: < 15$ .
Edit: it's oblivious my personal opinion/habits, I don't pretend that people understand my point of view.

Worst cheap pocket knife I've ever owned. If you're a left-hander you need to use heavy precaution when putting your hands in your pocket. The blade likes to come open and cut you up. Took a hammer to mine after 3 days of ownership
lol guess what brother my mom is going to walmart tonight and shes going to pick this knife up for me lol so yeah we looked it up and they have a light brown one for 22 dollars so yeah she said she will grab it for me so i cant wait thanks so much for letting me know about this lol its like it was faith she hardly ever goes to walmart so for me to see this video a couple hours before she got home and then for he to say shes going to walmart its crazy so thanks so much brother
