"How can you play a backhand smash lob volley?!"
"I'm not sure Youzhny knows how either" LOL

20 slams + 19 atp fans favorite awards (for the entire carrier)= the GOAT

I don't care about stats, 24 and 20 slams is not a big difference for them, because of some close matches like 2008 Wimbledon finals 2019 Wimbledon finals 2009 uso finals 2010 2011 uso semis, so difference of 4 slams have occurred, so 4 is not at all huge, so federer for me is the goat

He's the GOAT for me too. Not because of how much he won but how he did it. But you can't argue with stats. Personally, I think the question needs to be clearer: What does the GOAT really mean? If it's whoever won the most then that is easy - it's Djokovic right now. If it's something else then it needs more thinking. Pele, Ali, Jordan and Woods never won the most, for example. All IMHO...

It's simple. Novak vultured 12 slams in the weak era, and Nadal stacked RG only.

@@masters.1000 then lucky him. No different from Graff benefitting from Sele's absence. However they were won, you can't take them away from him...

Hahahaha 4 is not at all huge? So McEnroe is no better than Kuerten either, right? Damn Federer fans are delusional 😂

@@paulelverstone8677Don’t talk as if slam record is the only thing that makes Djokovic the GOAT. His reign at number one, number of masters and golden masters, atp finals, and he completed tennis. Federer ain’t shit because he didn’t achieve shit compared to Djokovic.

Federer single handed backhand flick of the wrist is for me the greatest tennis shot ever, the one against blake in Shanghai year end masters and 2 against murray at the nitto atp finals and Wimbledon. Effortless grace he had willl never be seen in tennis. Alcaraz is a great shotmaker like Fed but he does not have simplicity and grace of federer. Alcaraz is bit like Rafa in terms of over celebrating and fist pumping or pointing fingers to ears like Nole.Federer hit so many great shots and rarely showed emotion. I miss Federer tennis forever🙏

His greatest innovations is honestly the short slice to draw the opponent into the net, and then pass them on the next shot or two. That play wasn't the most glamorous but it won him so many thousands of points in his career.

My favourite, pretty unique, shot of his is his single-handed backhand drive volley. The timing you need for that is just off the charts. I'm sure other players have hit it also but I've only ever seen Fed do it regularly...

Another Roger Federer will never come in tennis, if comes then will not be able to dominate like this. Mark my word. I am his fan not only for his enormous success but for his grace and effortless manner of play. Last but not the least, his single handed backhand is the main reason why I worship him.

He had the talent and dedication to win 20 Slams with one hand when many think you're lost without a two-hands. The audacity of hope, really.

Also the one at Wimbledon 2017 against Berdych. The no look, forehand, crosscourt, semi squash shot. (I don't remember the full quote)

I was just about to ask if Andy Roddick was paying you under the table to leave him out of these videos. Cuz...Andy is the Roger Federer Incredible Did-I-Really-See-That-Shot Poster Boy. To this day he's wondering how Roger put a 142mph serve back at his feet before he'd even landed and still has AO running half-volley-off-the-baseline nightmares 🤣🤣🤣🤣
