It looked fairly certain he was going to make the jump to the main tour soon. He recently qualified for the US Open beating Karatsev. Sure, he's maybe exceeded expectations somewhat. But I think the Asian swing came at a good time for him given his recent achievements.

Love these fast hard court matches. So much more fun than slow courts like Indian wells etc. Makes it way more logical for the players to play aggressive. Instead of those endless rallies.
My view (just on the basis of these highlights): Griekspoo played really well. Should there be a different player (except sinner who uses doping), Griekspoo would have won. I am worried with MUSETI. He is currently a great defender and the best one hand backhand player in great form. How could he be beaten by an unseeded. Perhaps the heat affected him.

Griekspoor wasn't running. He was probably injured. Alcaraz played well but he needs to do this every match. Some matches he can win without being his best self but we could see him losing to Medi who is in top form.
