I can’t wait to see more! If I can make a recommendation, lock off some cheaper Amazon faux-pro cameras on the stanchions in the cockpit, up at the bow pulpit, in the cabin, etc. Wire in USB outlets everywhere, so you can set up a camera and not worry about the battery draining, and each day swap out the memory card and load the footage onto an 2TB external drive that you use for an archive. When you need to pull B-roll, it’ll be your fountain of footage. When things suddenly happen, you can put down the big camera and still have usable footage. Also, you can get both of you in the same shot, just being real, and nobody feels like they have to be “on”. Nobody watching a sailing channel cares if you cuss a little, if your hair isn’t just right, if his beard isn’t perfect, or if the angle isn’t the most flattering. We’re here for it.
@@bravofighter yess!! I love this advice! Thanks so much for the hot tips - we really appreciate it. We’ve talked about how we need to mount cameras because “catching” key moments seems to be the hardest part. Stay tuned as we learn & evolve. Thanks for being on this journey with us 🤍🙏
I'm really liking this channel. Y'all keeping it real. Take some free advice from an old man. Never go to bed angry at one another, work it out. Never tell each other "no" with in reason of course. My wife and I are going on 25 years married and that's how we have survived. We hope to see y'all on the water when we retire.
Thank you so much for watching!! Aw we appreciate that advice. So important! Cheers to 25 years and getting on the water soon :) hope to sea ya out there
@@jeffalexander544 no haha just teasing, Rob will be back with us heading through the locks! Unfortunately we were on a time crunch (I’ll mention in the next video) Thanks for watching!
185 nautical miles in one day on a mono hull is impressive! You should do a long section of the Great American Loop. Looks like your only doing a short section of the Great American Loop. Why go through all that trouble of taking down your mast rather than sail around?
Thank you so much! We appreciate that! Yessir, all good questions.. we needed to get back to NJ as quickly as we could so we chose this route (17 days in total!) I’ll mention that in the next video :)
@@sailingadventuress5489 Yes, I get that but my question is why do a short section of the loop rather than go around without taking down the mast. Seems like it would be just as fast and saves a bunch of money.

Mast is too tall for easy Looping.
@@sailingadventuress5489 Yes, I get that but my question is why do a short section of the loop rather than go around without taking down the mast. Seems like it would be just as fast and saves a bunch of money.
@@sailingadventuress5489 haha true, thanks! stay tuned - the next episode we’ll be taking both the masts down!

Thanks so much M!!!
