- During this second leg of our MAIDEN VOYAGE, we set FIVE SAILS as we race ourselves across Lake Erie towards our next stop: The Welland Canal (Port Colborne, Canada). Will we learn to embrace the present moment or will our daunting destination overpower the journey? Detours in our route open the magical opportunity to explore a brand new sight!!! Field trip anyone??
Special shout out to @youngcruisersassociation for welcoming us with open arms. We are blown away by the support of so many like-minded strangers, now turned sailing friends. As we create a home for inspiration, growth, support, and passion amongst people of the sea."
We are open to collaborate!

@@thrive.offgrid aw thanks so much!!! I remember learning about the canals in middle school - never truly understood how they operated until seeing them in the flesh! Really cool. Appreciate you watching & commenting ❤️🔥🤗

@@MichaelEvans-b6t thank you amigo!!! ❤️🔥⛵️🎨
Those locks are crazy! So wild to think that they were hand dug so long ago, can't imagine the crew it took to make that happen :) Looking forward to seeing the lock ups and downs, sounds like a pretty crazy adventure!
@@patrickandmichaela right?! Mind blowing haha. Thanks so much for watching guys!! Always an adventure!!
Definitely an adventure, loved it! Amazing seeing you guys using SeaPeople 🧜♂
@@seibtjonathan thanks so much for watching!! Yess, Sea People is such a great new way to connect 🔱
You folks remind me of a couple from Ireland we had as neighbors at the marina I grew up in late 70s, in Cortez, FL. My dad called them "Hippies", but they were so cool, and became good friends to our family. They still live aboard and sail to this day in a Trimaran they built them selves in the early 90s.
@@JimWalkerMusic aw wow!! What a high compliment. We feel like we were born in the wrong decade haha glad we’re on the same wavelength ❤️🔥🌊🌀 feel free to pass along our channel to your groovy friends. We’d love to be connected! Thanks so much for watching and commenting 🙏

Meijer cheese! I miss Meijer stores... Always the best produce... I know particularly because I hauled much of their produce myself as a otr driver at VanErden in Grand Rapids back in the day.
@@JimWalkerMusic WE LOVE MEIJERS! We miss it too haha. We provisioned there and at the local Muskegon farmer’s market. Thanks for watching! We appreciate you!
@@sailing.everyday been in that very market myself. One of my old friends Rhonda Goldsboro and her fam still live in Muskegon.
@@JimWalkerMusic that’s awesome!! We bought our boat from the previous owner in Muskegon 🤗
As a new owner of a Pearson 365 Ketch, I’d be interested in seeing how to rig and fly mizzen spinnakers and stay sails. Not that it will make my boat any faster, but it certainly looks cool.
@@nutsandbolts432 congrats and welcome to the Pearson Ketch crew!! That’s a great idea - we’d love to showcase how we fly so many sails. We’ve been piecing together this footage from 2 years ago, eventually we will catch up to real time. Planning to start shooting episodes with the story in mind first - stay tuned and thanks again for watching ⛵️🎬
