I see a lot of black sand walking the beaches just south of Florence and often wonder if there is gold… maybe Florence is too far north for gold? I guess I will have to give it a try and find out 😊
@@user-jl6zf4zx1c There is small amounts of gold all along the west coast from California to Alaska but the highest concentrations tend to be along southern Oregon and Southern Washington, Cape disappointment. Take a scrape of it in a pan and find out. I bet you see a few specs of gold.

@Goldhunter7769 what do you do with the sand after you have finished finding gold? After the last rinse do you reuse as sand bags, pour in your yard, drop off at the sand dunes..dropped back on the coast, etc? Just curious
@@ModernDayProspector it’s actually a homemade gutter sluice I put together, but the matting is the key to the system. This matting almost replicates gold cube matting and has matting called rough top conveyor belt matting it can be quite expensive, but I got it for free through a friend I’m actually making several more sluices just like it to give away as prizes, stay tuned!

@@GoldHunter-77 Can you use a flowing water ram pump? It would pump water with no motors, batteries or solar panels.

Thanks and no. The arm broke so I didn’t want to sit in it. I run the sands through the big sluice and then my small one at home until I see the gold.
