I have Masters degree in nursing and this whole chemistry thing is WAY BEYOND MY DESIRE TO UNDERSTAND. What I DO know is that it is great for almost everything. I’m using it as a 70 year old who works out 4 days a week. I’m becoming less able to recover as I once did. Giving my mitochondria a blue bath. I use 10mg per day and will increase to 20 mg if things go ok. Low and slow.
I’m by no means a medical professional, just doing research for a family member. Seems as though the anti-inflammatory properties in MB degrade your bodies ability to repair muscle. So you’ll likely get less out of your workouts on MB. Your dosage is extremely low though, most things I see are talking about 100-200 per day, not 10-20. 🤷🏻 I’m personally not convinced, seems like a lot of small positives, and equal negatives. Might as well flip a coin as far as I’m concerned.

8 mg is too high for a starter dose. start at 0.5, be cautious with certain MAOI-incompatible foods once exceeding 5mg. idk why but MB completely cured my acid reflux which I suffered from for a year. PPIs didn't help.
Right. Chris, As usual, way over my head! : ) But thank you for the short version. I heard of this stuff but after hearing your comprehensive explanation I think it best to leave it alone. Mitochondrial dysfunctions. Complexes refer to metabolic pathways that convert food into energy. Electrons, protons, enzymes, etc, are constantly changing into different things and creating reactions in these chains/complexes.
How could it change my mind when I didn't understand most of what you said. Would be nice to have a dumbed down version for those of us who don't speak science
Let's talk about the dosage here for the study and for our own logic for ingestion: 8mg to 250 mg dose is still based off of your weight and adjusted by the purity of the solution. So a 1% MB solution is super low and that's all "we common people" can get a hold of (seems strong enough for me). Let's say you are 150lbs and you are going to take the MAX dose (250mg) that would be 17,010mg per day assuming that the solution was 100% solution right? Which it is not for us. So if you are 150 lbs and taking a 250mg dose a day you would take 340 drops (0.02 drops in 1mg) per day Since we can only buy 1% solutions should we account for that and multiply the dose by the dilution factor... this is 340 drops x 99.9 which is insanely high dose (it seems) and was that intravenously given? if not that would for sure make someone's stomach hurt and seems unreasonable. Possibly the dosage assumes a 1% solution and in that case 340 drops a day for a max dose sounds only slightly more reasonable but to me still seems extremely high. I would for sure assume side effects at that high of a dose. Seeing that the studies did an extremely high dose I wonder what a lower dose solution would be like? Also it seems strange to mention a study that combined Meth Blue with poison and found that there were side effects... Why would you reference that and still find something negative about MB? MB negated the poison and that was all the study was designed to find out... deducing that there are negative side effects of MB AFTER IT NEGATED POISON is a strange conclusion and I can only suspect designed by BIG PHARMA to try to make MB look bad.
I listen to a very thorough video with documents to back evidence that Methaleyne blue is dangerous to take. Basically you should not take this drug unless you have a definite physical challenge that is monitored by a doctor.
So what does it mean? How do I know the status of my respiratory system and if its gonna improve or get worse with methylene blue, and how would I notice a worsening, and are we talking about a permament shift or just during the active time of a few hours?
Thank you Dr Masterjohn. I am thinking of taking MB but have hereditary hemochromastosis, so would this be safe to take. My ferritin is around 70 at the moment. Would appreciate your input.
Hey Dr. Masterjohn sorry to change the subject but I came accross a form of B6 while studying it called pyridoxamine~, I see that it was banned some time ago by the FDA but I can't find much solid information about it anywhere, and didn't find much info even here on youtube, was wondering if you had any material on it or could make some.
FDA Regulatory Activity Pyridoxamine was marketed as a dietary supplement, often as the hydrochloride salt, pyridoxamine dihydrochloride. However, in the United States, the FDA ruled in January 2009 that pyridoxamine must be regulated as a pharmaceutical drug because it is the active ingredient in Pyridorin, a drug designed by Biostratum, Inc., to prevent the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Pyridorin had success in early clinical trials, found to be effective in slowing the progression of diabetic neuropathy in a phase II trial on 224 patients. However, in 2005 Biostratum ran out of money and so was unable to begin a Phase III trial. Investors in Biostratum had realized that because Biostratum had no patent on pyridoxamine itself, and that pyridoxamine was commonly available for purchase as a dietary supplement, the company would be unable to charge enough money for the treatment (should it be approved as a prescription drug by the FDA) for the investors to get a reasonable return on the investment they had already made (about $100M) much less on the additional investment a Phase III trial would require. To solve this problem, Biostratum submitted a citizen petition to the FDA on July 29, 2005, seeking to disallow sales of pyridoxamine-containing supplements on the grounds that pyridoxamine, as the subject of an Investigational New Drug Application with the FDA, is a drug and not a dietary supplement. This petition was opposed by the Council for Responsible Nutrition, a trade association of the dietary supplement industry. On January 12, 2009, the FDA ruled that products containing pyridoxamine are excluded from the definition of dietary supplements as defined by the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. The FDA stated that the status of Pyridorin as an investigational new drug, as a result of an application filed by BioStratum in July 1999 and effective on September 1, 1999, meant that "the marketing of pyridoxamine in a dietary supplement is essentially equivalent to the marketing of an investigational new drug as a dietary supplement" because there was an "absence of independent, verifiable evidence that the substance was marketed as a food or a dietary supplement prior to its authorization for investigation as a new drug

My mom developed Alzheimer’s she 64 and it is strong in her family. I’m 62 and obviously concerned. So for about a year and a half I’ve been taking 8 mg a day. Hi chris, do taking 40mg od p5p or methylfolate if its not needed can create breathing problems or slow down recovery from copper deficency? I developed breathing problems that doesnt showup in blood test but also doeasnt show up as lung or heart problem and i really dont know what it might be the only thing that actually showed up is lowered oxygen in blood. And i will add that i took 600mcg methylfolate, 40mg p5p and 60mg zinc and after 1month it developed.
With out going into to much detail, it seems that MB could be the cause for sudden increase in veins bulging in my legs and hands. I am genetically predisposed for Hereditary Thrombophilia and I'm concerned that this pulled the trigger. I Had bulging veins in my legs prior to taking but now it very prevalent, and my hands are also experiencing the same. This started after stopping MB for two weeks . (I did not experience this while taking it for obvious reasons) I do take other supplements and started them after this two week period, during this time I also took 10mg of cialis at the beginning and end of the first week and noticed itching and vein swelling on my hands... yes I know it is a NO2 booster but NEVER experienced this... that's new. I Let the cialis wear off and wanted to start back on MB to see if the issue would stop (1 drop) but made my veins very itchy. I don't know if it is the MB, so talking with my physician today to get blood work done. *side note: I'm not sure if MB is the cause or the supplements that I was taking for blood flow, but considering all the benefits i had taking MB, It's hard to believe that it would worsen my DVT. Your thought would be appreciated.
i used a 8-12 mg of MB for a few days and felt slight discoordination in hand movement which never happened before. for example would hold spoon and cup in both hands and when intending to put one of these items somewhere would mix up
@@chocolope17 no longterm problems for me, just when i experimented with it in those doses, and even then it was fairly benign. I still take 0.4mg or so before workouts as I think it helps me get a pump but I wouldn't recommend taking it just for the sake of it. I have no concrete evidence for this but i am fairly sure methylene blue in some way blocks Thiamine transport in neurons via inhibiting ThTr-2. It's not enough to create significant blocks in energy production as thiamine is transported by another protein as well. Since thiamine clears excess serotonin from the brain I think methylene blue's action as a MAO inhibitor is perhaps somehow tied into that as well. But I highly doubr mb outright depletes thiamine.
so maybe if you bought thiamine hcl and took a few hundred mg of that alongside mb in the doses in which you experienced that discordination, you could prevent those side effects. at the very least would be cool experiment to try
Due to neuro symptoms including brain fog, I've been taking about 10 drops of Methylene blue each day/ I notice I have to urinate so often, like every half hour or hour. I wonder if methylene blue is causing this. I've been sleeping a tad better but I think I should stop it. ?
I take 15 drops of 1% each day diluted into water, maybe 5 drops at a time. I think the stuff helps me with mood and energy, but I concerned about it being habit forming so I won't go much higher than that. I'm not crazy about green urine either, my piss can leave a blue stain in the toilet from such a small amount.

yup, it kills yeast so the yeast in your body hated it... I would keep taking it in a low dose
Helpful. Thanks. @@dfam342
Histamine from herx (effects of parasite & fungal die off) start much smaller dose.
Am I imagining the benefits of MB?
Yes, it did change my mind... please explain the different complexes you refer to... thx

The disorders 1,2,3 and 4 refer to Mitochondrial dysfunctions. Complexes refer to metabolic pathways that convert food into energy. Think of each of these complexes as taking one chemical and changing it into another to ultimately create ATP. Electrons, protons, enzymes, etc, are constantly changing into different things and creating reactions in these chains/complexes.
This did not change my mind because I have no idea what you’re talking about and like a previous person commented, explain it to me like I’m in 5th grade. I teach music and I don’t beat people over the head with theory every time I speak otherwise I’d lose students. I think you may lose me as a viewer and you came highly recommended. I think you need to do another video - short, simple explanations, pros and cons, done.
I disagree, theres not a lot of places to get high quality information out there
Hi chris, do taking 40mg od p5p or methylfolate if its not needed can create breathing problems or slow down recovery from copper deficency? I developed breathing problems that doesnt showup in blood test but also doeasnt show up as lung or heart problem and i really dont know what it might be the only thing that actually showed up is lowered oxygen in blood. And i will add that i took 600mcg methylfolate, 40mg p5p and 60mg zinc and after 1month it developed.
Good question. You’re asking a good source. I look forward to the response!
Have tried taking 8-10mg but end up having to sleep due to pretty fast onset of feeling exhausted. Has anyone else experienced this.
What brand is good?
Phycocyanin, the blue pigment, in Spirulina has a similar affect.
This is so hard to wrap the mold and lymes brain. However MB safed me many times.
Do you have any information on methylene blue reducing skeletal muscle?
Spirulina?? Please
i used a 8-12 mg of MB for a few days and felt slight discoordination in hand movement which never happened before. for example would hold spoon and cup in both hands and when intending to put one of these items somewhere would mix up
I’ve felt something similar, how are you now?
Thank you for this! Holy St. Porphyrios pray to God for us.
Glory to God ☦️
-Unfortunately, the report is not free.- Oh, ok, it is free, you get the link via email when you subscribe.
7:39 so, methylene blue would counteract tadalafil (Cialis).
if you haven't yet you really need to get a audio interface and a good mic . this audio is horrible and this is good information and presented well
I've heard clearer messages from the dead compared to this video.
The dosages you are speaking of with the negative side effects are very high.
doses in studies mentioned (70-250mg) are way to high. you shouldn't take more than 10mg daily and probably not every day
I thought it was a strong Mitochondrial uncoupler, is it not?
Chemistry is so fascinating. The only problem is that my tree monkey brain don't get it for a most part. 😆
You need to take MB for your brain fog ☺️
Ty Chris 🙏
Due to neuro symptoms including brain fog, I've been taking about 10 drops of Methylene blue each day/ I notice I have to urinate so often, like every half hour or hour. I wonder if methylene blue is causing this. I've been sleeping a tad better but I think I should stop it. ?
Yes that has been my experience with it as well.
Is that Saint Porfyrios behind you?
Patron Saint ...of Safe Meth-Blue Dosing. The Blue Halo of Mykanos.
So alot to process...can you correlare its significant role in direct relation to my husbands 2 years ago Dimentia diagnosis....
71 yrs presently, doing fairly well ....No genetic history...Vietnam Vet...
Please use the MB, add in red light therapy and HBOT hyperbaric oxygen therapy you will be amazed.
The quality of the audio is poor.😊
great! now do Methylene Red please
this video needs some wind noise like there outside along with a background soundtrack thats blaring over top the speaker....or they could just stay with the fked up sound they got going already
Appalling sound, what have you done to it?! Can you put it up again but with better audio?
sounds like talking inside a bucket
pls buy a microphone, the sounds is horrible
I hope Dr. Eric Berg watches this video...
Lol watch the videos of his son. Dr. Berg sounds good but that’s the careful curation of his public image.
Audio is terrible…can’t take it.
Awful sound.
Buy a proper mike ?
Geez... terrible audio... get a lapel microphone ... please.
Thanks for cutting through the BS on this topic. Very interesting but doesn't sound like a panacea for unknown metabolic deficiencies.
Dr limas sounds worst than this guy😂😂😂😂
worst sound ever ...
